I gulped as nervousness accumulated. My forehead and palms sweated and my legs trembled as the slowly walked towards the desktop. I entered my name on the website and restlessly tapped my foot as I waited for it open. And there it was. Infront of my eyes lay my life's effort and struggle. I was on the merit list that meant that I was enrolled in the University, The Colorado Tech University. My lips quivered as I called for my mum and eyes welled up. I was in a trauma as I saw my childhood's desires gather up in a tornado.
My past was dark. Y/N's past was all about struggling, struggling just so that I was able to maintain my school life. I knew education was the last opportunity my family or atleast I had. I gave up on my childhood. I never experienced what it was like playing video games. The desktop I owned was nothing but a mere gift from my dad's so called boss.
I could hear words of joy and happiness as I recalled everything I experienced. My parents hugged me, my siblings danced around the room and all seemed too good to be true!
I took one last glance at the mirror before confronting my father who summoned me in the lawn. Alex Armanto Jimin is my name but my squad calls me The Wealthy Prince as per my status. I climbed down the staircase, air pods plugged in and Gucci sneakers more prominent than ever. Today was The Day because it would be decided if my father is willing to send me to America. Yes, I live in France, so I own both money and looks!
My father finally uttered the words i was desperately waiting for,"They accepted you and you're going." and without a further a due I gathered my squad and hit the wet Paris streets on my Maserati!
For me getting enrolled in a University wasn't a big deal because some money would always get the job done. The Colorado Tech University wasn't my dream. It was just a get away from my father's constant insistence of me joining him in his business. I recalled the time I had placed my desire of studying in America infront of him. It was remained a hot topic for quite a while but he eventually got along....
