ANGEL OF MINE

It's been three days since Areanna Russo went missing.

Three days of paranoia from our whole household.

Three days of crying and consoling.

Three days of non-stop training and sleepless nights.

And three days, of absolutely nothing.

Regardless of us spending every waking second tracking her down, writing down hundreds upon hundreds of theories, and doing enough torturing to make God send us to Hell himself, the girls and I have come up with absolutely nothing.

No leads, no suspects and no motive.

Why would someone kidnap Areanna?

She has no ranking in this family like Thea or Adria and she's not even an assassin like any of the other girls.

If Are knew how to differentiate between a knife and a sword I'd be impressed.

The fact that whoever kidnapped her even knew she existed is beyond me.

That being said, Areanna Russo is not- at all- non-existent to us.

In a way, she's our saviour- our own custom made gift from God. The innocent in a mansion filled with people damned to go to Hell.

Our angel.

Which is why I cannot even begin to fucking fathom how this lunatic, this bastard devil from fucking Hell knew about Areanna.

And it's messing with me.

"Re, you need to eat."

"I'm good."

Luana walks into my office with a tray and places it on my desk. "You're not. You miss her and you want her back. We all do. But you need to eat."

"I'm not hungry."

"Don't make me call Adria, Re."

An image of Thea tying me to a kitchen chair and Adria stuffing my mouth with food is almost enough to make me smile.

Almost.

I sigh. "Alright."

Luana sits in one of the chairs in front of my desk, and I eye her while playing around in my Lucky Charms.

"Why are you still here?" I ask.

"Stop playing around with it."

I roll my eyes and stuff a spoonful of cereal in my mouth.

Lu raises an eyebrow. "Good. Thea told me to bring you breakfast and Adria told me to watch you eat it."

Of course they did.

"I'm not going on a fucking hunger strike Luana."
