DANGER
- Migos

"I can honestly say," Adria says as she climbs out of the limo. "That when your knee collided with the balls of the fuck-up we call Zayden Colombo, that was the proudest I have ever been of you in my entire life."

Ladies and gentlemen, Adria Louis.

Thea laughs, getting out of the vehicle behind her. "It was a pretty iconic moment, that's for sure."

I frown a little at the not-so-distant memory.

Iconic? No.

Unprofessional? Yes.

"Hardly," I sigh.

Adria rolls her eyes. "Oh please. If you hadn't gone and done it, I'm sure Thea would have."

To this, Thea hums. "She has a point."

Her brown eyes twinkle with something that looks similar to evil. "Or worse. Think of it as you preventing a death."

I groan. "It's not the prevention of his death that I'm worried about."

Although Zayden is the first of my father's godchildren, Dio De Luca treats him like nothing short of a son.

Knowing Zayden, he's probably already snitched on me about kneeing him in the crotch.

I inwardly scowl.

The little shit.

I open the double doors to the mansion with a tired sigh, intent on going straight up to my room to have a good thirty minute nap, when I pause.

In front of me is Blythe tied up to a chair, surrounded by a decent amount of men dressed from head to toe in black.

"Cazzo," I breathe.

Adria and Thea also pause behind me, and mirror the same bewildered look on my face.

Now I don't know if this is my sleep-deprived brain talking, but if it wasn't for my gay caporegime squatting down beside her, I really would've thought that this was just a normal day in the sex life of Blythe London.

A flash goes off beside me, and all eyes fall on Adria.

She shrugs. "Blackmail."

B writhes in her ropes.

"Would someone like to explain to me why the fuck my assassin is tied up?"

Adria snorts. "Some assassin."

Blythe glares daggers in the direction of Adri.

Tony gets up from his position on the ground, stares at Blythe for a minute, and then turns to me. "I think you might've forgotten to tell your girls about the move King."

There's a sort of dramatic silence that envelops the room, as Tony's words saturate in my head.

Ah.
