i woke up to my phone ringing. i looked at my phone to see hector calling me.
"hello?" i answered.
"lydia it's three in the afternoon. you were supposed to come over at eleven." he sighed.
"i'm sorry, babe. i overslept. i stayed up until my dad came home and i just didn't get very much sleep. it's been a long night." i lied.
"okay we can spend time together tomorrow." he said, hanging up.
god.
i look down to see jaden's arm draped over my stomach and his head resting on my chest.
he looked so peaceful,
i decided to play on my phone until he woke up.
"morning." he said a few seconds later, removing himself from my chest.
"did you sleep well?" i asked.
he nodded his head. "go spend time with hector."
"it's okay. i want to spend time with you, you just got here." i smiled.
"can i shower?" he replied.
i nodded, showing him the bathroom.
payton started facetiming me.
"lydia." he said as soon as i answered.
"hey payt." i nervously laughed.
"i know jaden is over at your house. one, why did you lie to me? and two, how does hector feel about that?" he frowned.
"i'm sorry, i figured you would've been mad. jaden and mads broke up. he asked if he could come stay here." i told him. "hector doesn't know."
"you need to tell him that jaden is there. hector is your boyfriend." payton reminded me.
"you're right. i'll go tell him right now." i said, hanging up.
i decided to text hector about the jaden situation.
lydia; hi the reason i overslept nd missed hanging out is because i had to pick up jaden from the airport last night
hector; why didn't you tell me lydia?
lydia; i figured you would've been mad nd jaden needs me right now
hector; what is so important that jaden needs YOU and keeping that secret from me doesn't make me so happy lydia.
lydia; he nd mads broke up so he asked if he could come here. he doesn't have anyone else
hector; one, he is single and in your house by yourself right now..oh boy lydia. not to mention he lives in a house with his best friends so i don't really see why he needs you of all people. why does he need my girlfriend of all people?
lydia; because i'm his friend hector.
hector; he has other friends, so why was it so important that he had to fly all the way to NC so you could help him?
lydia; because when mattia dumped me, jaden was there for me. he helped me get over mattia nd now i'm going to help him get over mads
hector; jaden helped you get over mattia BY DATING YOU
lydia; jaden nd i never dated hector
hector; but you were both interested in each other after mattia. so are you going to leave me for him? is that how you're going to help him get over mads?
lydia; i don't like the way you're acting right now hector. i would never LEAVE you for another guy. i love you
hector; well you lied to me about jaden being in your house so i don't like the way you're acting right now either lydia.
lydia; hector stop. i'm not leaving you for jaden nd i never planned on leaving you for jaden. that was never my intention, jaden needed a friend.
hector; he has friends in la. i gotta go. i need space.
lydia; hector please.
lydia; hector don't do this.
i decided to call him because he wasn't answering any of my texts. after me calling hector at least ten times, jaden was out of the shower. he saw me crying but i just kept calling hector.
hector finally picked up, "i told you i needed space lydia."
"don't do this right now, please, babe. i'm sorry for lying. i promise it won't happen again." i cried.
"lydia, you just kept arguing with me. please give me space." he sighed.
"no hector. my dad told me to fight for the people i love so i am going to fight for you. i don't want to give you space because i need you in my life right now. i'm sorry for lying, i just didn't want to upset you." i told him.
"lydia leave it alone, please. just take some deep breaths and we'll talk about this later." he said.
"no. we're fixing this now, hector." i replied.
"no we're not. there's nothing to fix. we're done lydia." he hung up.
