Clara Scott
Students crowded around me as soon as the class was over.
They threw random questions at me, ask me where I'm from.. ask about my next class, why I joined the school in the middle. I was overwhelmed by the sudden interests of the students. In my previous recollection of histories of attending new school. No one was interested where I came from or ask me questions like these before. The sudden interests in these students was surprising.
"If you could excuse me." I heard Evelyn said as she pushed through everyone. "We have next class and I have to show her where her classes are." She pulled me with her towards the exit and I blink for a second. What just happened.
"They are very interested when it comes to newbies." She said casually. "You didn't go to your locker yet, did you?"
"Not yet." I said and showed her the paper that have the detail of my locker. "Thanks for showing me around."
"Oh. No worries." She brushed it off. We walked passed the library and she waved at the librarian excitedly through the glass. We stood in front of my locker and I opened the locker and was glad it didn't smell or have any dirt in it. I have very bad histories with lockers.
I unload some of my stuffs in there and locked the locker quickly,so we can get going to our next class. I see him opening his locker and shutting it loudly. Either he's way too strong or he's moody. I don't know.
"Reynolds." Students in jock uniforms called out.
He give them a curt nod. A guy with familiar built like him stood beside him. The guy had similar hair colour and a handsome feature and they seemed to have a casual conversation with each other as the other guy said something and smile.
Evelyn pulled me with her to our next class. I sat down with Evelyn and her group for lunch. They are quiet like me, only Evelyn did the most talking. Everyone either just commented or laugh at whatever she was saying.
Her group members are actually very kind towards each other. I realized they like books just like me.
"Do you read books?" Jay asked me.
"Yes." I said, surprising most of them. I don't know why they are surprised by that.
"See? We all share the same hobby." Evelyn laughed and smack me lightly.
"Which book are you reading?" He asked. All eyes was on me.
"I read all kinds of genre. I'm currently reading the Merchant of Venice."
"We read that like long ago." Bailey said.
"Okay." Evelyn said. "Who have news today?"
One thing I found out apart from books, they like gossips. Till now, I haven't heard them talk this much.
"I'm telling you, Jessica is definitely having a fling with Smith." Jay whispered.
"FYI, Jessica is the head cheerleader and Smith is one of the jock in school." Bailey said looking at me. "Jessica can be very nice if she likes you, but if you get on her bad side. She will ruin you." She shivered at the thoughts.
I take in the information, I honestly don't care about what is happening in school as long as it doesn't concern me. I just want to graduate without moving again.
He walked into the cafeteria with the same guy I saw him in the hallway. They sat in the centre of the room. Jocks and cheerleaders soon surrounded them. They must be popular students.
"Let's go." Evelyn suddenly said standing up with the rest of them.
"Why?" I asked.
"We are going to the library." She grinned.
