The promise (Kylo Ren/Ben Solo x OC)

2- The Beginning

It was seven AM, your mother entered your room and smiled when she saw your six years old sleeping form. She approached your bed and woke you softly.
"Athelleen, honey, you need to wake up!" You woke up, looking at your mom sleepily.
"But mom, it's so early, what is happening?" Your mom chuckled, clearly you forgot why you had to wake up early.
"Sweetie, don't you remember?" You frowned.
"Today we are going to visit the Resistance base"
Your eyes widened, how could you forget such an important day? You've been talking about it for months and now it just got out of your mind. You quickly got out of bed and put on a (f/c) shirt with some black pants and brown boots and ran down the stairs. In the kitchen, your dad was waiting for you with a plate of pancakes and some purple milk.
"Good morning my little Phoenix"
"Morning dad!"
"So, are you excited for today?"
Not being able to respond due to your full mouth, you hummed in agreement. After eating your breakfast, you ran upstairs to brush you hair and teeth while your parents were packing the speeders. The base was about thirty minutes from your house so a spaceship wasn't necessary. A bit later, you were ready to go.
~~~time skip to the base~~~
The Resistance base was huge. So many X-wings and computers. You were so impressed. After being presented to your parents' colleagues, your parents took your hands and brought you to a large room with many computers and screens in it.
"Athelleen,"said your mom, snapping you out of your trance, " i want you to meet my best friends" you nodded.
Your mom guided you to a little group where two handsome men, a pretty lady and... a big furry thing were talking together. Your mom stopped near them. You felt your shyness rising so you hid behind her legs.
"Hi!" Said your mom, hugging her friends.
"Elyssa! So glad you could come!" Said the women hugging your mother. The furry thing roared silently in agreement.
"I want you guys to meet my daughter Athelleen!" You peeked from behind your mom's legs.
"H-Hi," you said a bit shy.
"Hello athelleen, I am Leia and this is my husband Han and my brother, Luke" they greeted you as well.
"And this is Chewbacca, a wookie."
Your eyes widened at the word, you have heard about wookies but you didnt expect to meet one on your life. Chewbacca greeted you as well, only you didn't understand what he told you because you couldn't speak Wookie... yet ;)
" I also want you guys to meet someone," Said Leia, smiling, "he's never been to the base yet and like you, we decided to show him."
She motioned you three to come with her. You followed her in the back of the room where you saw a boy, your age, talking with other people.
"Ben," said Leia, drawing attention from the boy, "I want you to meet my best friends, Adam and Elyssa, and their daughter, Athelleen." Ben came towards you. He waved at you shyly
"H-Hi, nice to meet you!" He said smiling.
"Nice to meet you too" you replied, smiling too. Your parents and Ben's then started talking about boring adult stuff. Suddenly you heard a whisper.
"Psst, Athelleen, wanna go with me to explore the rest of the base?" Ben asked, smiling.
"Yes, let's go!" he grabbed your hand and led you out of the room. You two ran into the corridors giggling. After a few minutes of running, you sat on a bench in a empty room.
"So," asked Ben, "are you a Jedi?"
"Not yet," you replied, "mom showed me a few tricks but I'm not officially a Padawan. Though I'll be one in a few months!"
"Same! My uncle Luke will teach me!"
"My mom says I might have a special power that only my grandma had."
"What is this power?" Asked Ben, confused.
"I don't know yet, mom doesn't want to tell me."
"Oh..." you two talked and played together for hours until your parents found you and told you you had to go home.
"Don't worry my little Phoenix, you will see each other soon" said your mom. Then she left you near your dad and asked Leia and Han to come with her.
"What's wrong Ely?" Asked Leia, seeing your mom's worried face.
"I want to ask you something" replied your mother.
"Anything." Said Leia.
"If anything happens to me and Adam, will you, take care of athelleen?"
"Of course we will," said Leia hugging your mom, " we will always be here for you three."
"She's right," replied Han, joining the hug, " We will take good care of her!"
"Thanks" said your mother softly.
The three friends came back to you and you left, waving goodbye at your new friends. Little did you know this would be the beginning of a great story.
