When I'm with you.

Huang's office.

"Is there anything that helps you when this happens to you?" Huang asked and Olivia thought long and hard, she looked over at Elliot and smiled.

"I dunno why but when I'm with El I'm not as confused things aren't fuzzy, I can remember things, small simple things but they're still things"

"Like what?"

"Just people's names or what time to go places or little bits of memories"

"Does this happen a lot?"

"Yeah... I can remember lot's of old cases we worked together and I can remember names of people we used to work with"

"Has this been going on awhile?"

"No just one day I noticed it but then I forgot I noticed it..." she trailed feeling slightly awkward.

"Well I'm glad you're making....um...progress...." Huang trailed even though he was still unsure, he did notice Olivia made more sense when Elliot was around and she was easier to understand and when she wasn't easy to understand Elliot (who can read her like a book) would clarify what she was trying to say.

Elliot decided to stay with her for a few days, it'd be better than Huang's initial suggestion. "I'm sure I can manage" Olivia said and Elliot smiled.

"Back to your old self already" he smiled putting his bags in the spare room.

"I never left" she said almost in a whisper as she walked toward the kitchen.

"Olivia?"

"Yes?"

"What do you find most difficult to remember?"

"Um.... Faces and names you know basically who people are and..   sometimes just the basics like forgetting what I was going to say or I dunno.... I can't think of anything else" she said and he nodded. Eli started to cry loudly and Elliot took him in his arms. Lizzie and Dickie were staying with Kathleen and Maureen said she'd help out for babysitting Eli even though she wasn't around much.

"What about the rest of your kids.. Maureen, Kathleen and um... Lizzie and.... Dickie?" she asked and Elliot was shocked she even remembered.

"Oh they're staying with Maureen" he said but really he didn't care he was more focused on what Olivia had just said.

"You OK?" Olivia asked.

"Yeah..." he trailed trying not to seem too excited.

"OK well don't forget to stop off at the doughnut place but get Nick a sandwich, he says he doesn't like doughnuts but really he's just on a diet" she said and Elliot laughed slightly.

"And you know this because?"

"Well we were partners for almost 4 years I think I would know"

"Yeah but-"

"I told doctors I was getting better but they didn't listen, you all think I can't do anything for myself since the accident but how can I get back to how things were if you're changing everything to suit me" she said and Elliot didn't speak at first.

"Well.... we just miss you Liv"

"I didn't go anywhere El! You're all so busy babying me that you didn't even realise I was recovering on my own, so I have a few bad days but that doesn't mean I'm gone anywhere, I'm still here, I'm not a two year old and I don't appreciate being treated like one" she said and Elliot felt a little guilty. She was right.

"I'm sorry... I should've listened and I don't care if this is how you'll be for the rest of your life I don't care I just don't want you to go" he said and she smiled.

"I'm not going anywhere" she smiled putting on her coat. Elliot was glad he had his partner back, his best friend maybe even something more..

Hope you enjoyed! Lemme know if you want Liv and El to be together? Although I probably will anyway since I LOVE THEM!
