"Amy, what about River?"
Honestly, there wasn't a day when I didn't think about this. River, my baby girl, a daughter I could never raise because of time itself.
"She'll be alright. She's got the Doctor. We both know he will keep her safe. Oh and Rory, you know her. She'll find a way to get to us."
Rory smiled. We both knew this was true, she was a fighter, willing to change fixed points in time, not afraid of consequences, living with a horrible punishment for something she didn't do and the most important thing, an unbreakable tie with us. And that was exactly what happened the next day.
The next morning, when Rory and I sat down at the breakfast table, in the grand Williams House dining room.
"Seriously, Amy, how did you, uh, get all this? Achieve all this in 5 years?"
I smiled. I hadn't told Rory what I did for a living yet, not that there was anything to hide. I kind of liked the idea of a mystery between us. I decided to put him out of his misery and tell him when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," I teased, leaving Rory alone again to figure out what I did.
"It's the mailman," I shouted across the hall.
I started flipping through what we had gotten that day, but only one thing caught my eye. I dropped all the mail.
"Rory, Rory, they found us. THEY FOUND US."
It was the arrival of the TARDIS blue envelope.
