After lunch, Amy said to Lily "why don't you show me around the house? It's so big anyways so I don't think that we can complete the whole house in a single day."

"Yes, why not!" Said Lily, giggling.

First, they went to the antique room. To Amy's astonishment, most of the statues were of wizards, witches, fairies, etc. She thought why most of the statues are related to magic? Are my aunt and Lily also witches? It is possible as aunt is my mother's sister and I must have got my skills like this only.

"What are you thinking?" Lily said, bringing Amy to the real world.

"Nothing! I was wondering how beautiful these statues are! " she lied.

As they moved forward but Lily skipped one of the corridors and moved ahead.

"What about this corridor? Why aren't we going there? " questioned Amy.

"Umm.. ," Lily hesitated. "Mother has restricted to go there."

"But why?" Asked Amy curiously.

"I think she is having some of her business things ther," said Lily, without looking in Amy's eyes.

Amy immediately understood that she was telling a lie. With her mind-reading power, she tried to know what she was thinking but it was impossible. She wasn't able to make that connection. What is happening? Why can't I read her mind? I am always successful in reading each and everyone's mind. Something is fishy here.

The corridors were long and had beautiful carpets laid on them. There were beautiful paintings on the walls. There were pretty lamps on the wall which illuminated the way in a quite warm way.

Amy had seen most of the corridors which were near her bedroom and then they thought that they will go to the remaining ones some other day and so they turned back but suddenly, because of Amy's hand, one of the flower pot dropped. Amy stopped it before it fell down on the floor with her magic and it flew back to its place. And then suddenly, she stopped dead. Lily must have seen me doing that! What will I say to her? How can will explain?

"How did you do that?" Lily asked Amy suspiciously.

"Did what?" Amy acted all innocent.

"I saw that the pot fell because of your hand but how did you prevent it from falling?" Asked Lily.

"Oh, I just caught it before it touched the floor," Amy lied.

"No! I saw that it flew back to its place!" argued Lily.

'No Lily! How can I do that? It's practically impossible! It happens only in fairy tales!" answered Amy.

"Yes, you are right. It only happens in fairy tales. I am such a stupid girl!" Said Lily, giggling.

Amy also laughed. Then both went back to their rooms.

Amy's POV

Oh! It was so close. I was able to hide my true identity, but I have surely drawn some suspicion towards me. I have to be more careful next time.

But something about that corridor doesn't seem right to me. and also the fact that I wasn't able to read Lily's mind. I can read each and every human's mind. But this was something different. It felt like she was not a human at all! I have to investigate this.

Then Amy lied down on her bed for some time and gradually fell asleep.

Lily's POV

I think that Amy is hiding something. I am hundred per cent sure that I saw the pot falling and floating back to its place. Maybe she is different. But how can she be?

Lily kept thinking until Fluffy jumped over her bed and she played with her.

Soon it was dinner time. Lily went and knocked on Amy's door. Amy appeared after a while.

"Let's go and have dinner Amy," Lily said.

"Yes. Sorry, I fell asleep so I lost the track of time. I'll come down in ten minutes after checking my emails."

" Yes alright!" Lily game Amy a smile and she went downstairs.

Amy checked her mobile phone for any emails and sure enough, there was one from her lawyer, Mrs Smith. It read:

Dear Amy,

How are you? I hope you reached your aunt's home safely and I think you will like it there. If there is something you need to tell me then I am always there for you.

Yours truly
Mrs Smith.

Amy quickly wrote a reply and sent it back. Though she really wanted to tell her about how she was almost caught doing the magic her parents were the only people who knew about her skills but sadly they were dead. So she kept quiet.

Amy went down and quickly had lunch. Then she went to Lily's room to understand the school timetable and everything because it was her first day of school tomorrow.
