Fighting with your soul pt.2

"Listen. We're all giving it our all...to try and win. To make our dreams into reality. To become number one! You think you can win with half your strength!? Look at me, Todoroki! You haven't managed to put a single scratch on me yet!", she said clenching her fist, "So come at me with all you've got!!!"  

Isac noticed that both girls were talking about Shouto's full power and how she needed to use it in order to win Izuki. Isac finally realized what Izuki was trying to do, [Why are you trying to help?]

Shouto started charging at Izuki, but due to the ice she was moving slower than normal, she then jumped in the air to punch Izuki but as she did Izuki made her move. 

Izuki had reeled in her arm to deliver a punch with a concentrated "One for all" in it. She had a perfect shot now and she took it, she punched Shouto directly in her stomach sending her flying back, but not out of bounds. Izuki, on the other hand, was now having frost pain, Shouto had managed to freeze her other arm and was now unable to use it like she was with the free one.

Both students were in so much pain from the long battle, they both got up and once more they attacked.

Shouto launched her ice towards Izuki, but because of her injuries, her attack was slower than before. Izuki was able to dodge it easier than before, Shouto ran towards her and tried circling her but Izuki flipped another finger and threw Shouto away.

Once again they got up and Shouto tried circling Izuki once more but was met with the same result. Once, twice, three times, Izuki was continually using her broken fingers to launch her attacks, Shouto was using her ice over and over and it was giving her frostbite.

Both girls tried punching and freezing each other, but none of their attacks hit their target. They were evenly matched in speed and resistance.

Izuki started charging at Shouto but stopped when she was attacked by the girl's ice, she quickly put her thumb inside her cheek and used it to flip her finger. The force was lesser than normal but because both girls were already exhausted it was more than enough power to push them back.

"Why are you putting yourself through this?", Shouto asked.

"I want to live up to people's expectations. I wanna be able to smile while doing something good for them. I want to be a pro!! Whatever it takes to be a hero!!!", she yelled as she headbutted Shouto in the gut. "That's why I'll give it my all just like you should be! There's no way I can know what you've gone through, or why you're even here. Your life has been so much different than mine, but right now...Stop screwing around! If you wanna reject your father, fine, but you don't have the right to be number one if you aren't going to use your full power."

Shouto suddenly got a flashback from her past remembering the suffering she received from her father's training, the moments her mother was crying from that bastard, the way her mother called her left side, and the moment she burned her.

"Shut up", Shouto whispered. Shouto remembered the times she cried into her mother's chest.

"That's why I'm going to win this! I'll surpass you!!!", Izuki yelled as she punched Shouto in the gut sending her flying backwards.

Shouto remembered the time she hated her father the most, it was because of him that her mom hurt her.

"I refuse to use my left side", Shouto said as she was on the floor. 

"It's yours!! Your Quirk, not his!!!", Izuki yelled in a begging tone. Shouto then got another memory of the time she and her mother were watching an interview that was being done on Allmight.

"Yes. That's right. Children often do inherit Quirks from their parents, or develop similar power sets", Allmight said to the interviewer. "But the most important thing to remember is that a Quirk is what you make of it, regardless of your history. You decide how you'll use it. That's what I mean when I say "I am here".  Only you can decide to become a hero, no one else. Take this to heart, kids! You've got it!!", he said giving a thumbs up.
