After moving in with her 2 bestfriends who live in NJ, leilani learns to start over, which means new home, new environment and new school which is where she meets the Jersey boys and the adventure starts there.
*AgHHhH* leilani groans loudly dreading it was that time of the day already
Laying flat on her bed staring at the ceiling while trying to find the motivation to get up and get ready for school.
*Leilanis pov*
I had no motivation to get up at allll so after a long period of thinking I decided to myself that I would just stay home today, its just 1 day what harm could it do?
So just as I was about to roll myself back over into the comfiest position you could ever sleep in, I hear my phone start to buzz
*I look up at my phone and its chrissy* (Chrissy is 1 of my bestfriends)
With a scrunched up face I say "girl bye" right before declining the call and repositioning myself once again.
She calls again and I pick it up knowing damn well she won't give up until I answer.
"Yes!?" I say in a sarcastic voice
"Get yo nasty-self out of them 2 month old sheets and get ready for school on the asappp pooh" she said knowing I was definitly gonna slack off today.
"How did you know!" I said surprised
"Because I know you, now hurry up boo I can smell yo nasty breath all the way from ney jersey, get brushin bij"
"K fine jeez, no need of that now" I said
"Sorry boo uno I gotta be tough on you tho" she said
"You dont have to be, but I appreciate you for doing so" I said

About a year ago my mom lost her battle to depression and left me with just me and my dad, my dad and I were nowhere near as close as me n my mama.
Losing her is by far the hardest thing I've ever delt with and of course still dealing with, I have my rough times but I get through them with Chrissy, Bianca and their mom Julie
My mom and theirs used to work together and were the bestest of friends up until she passed, ever since then they've always felt this need to "protect and help me" which I appreciate more than anything, julie is like my second mom so shes always checking up on me and making sure I'm cared for. Same with chrissy shes like a big sister to me, and treats me exactly the same as julie.
But anyways back to getting ready.

Leilani threw on her outfit, done the usuals n came downstairs to her dad.

I try to make conversation with my dad because well...hes my dad and even tho we're not close, especially with mom gone I think we both need each other more than we think.

"Dad is it okay if you drop me off today I dont think I'm gonna make this bus n ion wan be late?"
"Sure" he said
"Thanks, I'll be waiting in the car" leilani said
"ok" he said getting his keys
