Chapter 5

Mint's POV

I hung up the after the Great Emperor ended his call.

I sighed.

"Emp, you're right. He did call." I told him. "But how did you know?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "Instinct."

The truth is, hindi naman talaga siya lasing. He isn't the type to drown himself in alcohol.

We currently stayed in one of the knights' hangout place, where he releases his stress and frustrations.

By the way, we call our friends "knights" since we are serving the Emperor. Our group is known as "L's Knights." Weird, right?

So instead of drinking till we pass out, we went to Zhime Fujitora's place.

The Emperor's habit of releasing stress is by archery.

"Why did you tell him you're drunk?" Zhime asked.

"I don't want to be interrogated. Not in the mood." He said then released the arrow.

Zhime's POV

He really is not in the mood.

It wasn't a bullseye.

If he really is, the arrow won't miss the spot.

"Did they already know about what you've told the Empress?" Mint asked.

"I think so. I saw Wave's car as we left the building." He said then released another arrow.

I looked at Mint and saw how he fidgeted. So, it was his doing.

We all know how Wave strictly obeys whatever his parents are up to. His loyalty is on his parents first, Emp is just in second place.

"Ahm, actually it's me. I asked Wave to pick up the Empress after you two talked." Mint finally admitted.

The Emperor quickly aimed at Mint with his arrow but did not release it. We were startled.

"E-Emp, I'm sorry okay?! I'm sorry." Mint panicked with his two hands raised to surrender.

"Hey, Emp, I-I don't want to see b-blood in my place." I said, also afraid of the way he looked at Mint.

We know how fearless and aggresive he is. He can kill a person in any moment he wishes.

He aimed down his bow. Mint and I let out a sigh of relief.

"You think I'm stupid? Wave isn't the type to just obey what you told him, unless there's something he's up to."
He said then released the arrow. Missed again.

"And Dad calling you is just a proof that I'm right." He said.

"So, what do you plan to do now?" Mint asked.

"Ride on to my Dad's plans. I know he's up to something. Just gonna go with the flow." He said.

"I'm gonna make her life miserable like what she did to me."

I sighed.

I want the matured Emperor back.

He again shot his arrow at the target. It was a bullseye.

Finally.

Then, the door opened.

One of the knights came in.

It's Feign Namikaze.

Feign is the most foolish one among the group. He always jokes on the Emperor and often gets threatened by him.
