old man

Ella's pov

my eyes fluttered open, they were met with the sun rays streaming through the window. I groaned in annoyance and covered  the pillow with my face. I eventually sat up on my blow up mattress and yawned. I stretched my limbs and got off the mattress. Mittens got off the bed and stretched as well. I smiled at her and then started walking to the bathroom. I opened the door and started doing my morning routien. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and brushed my hair. I soon came back to my room and got some clothes from my suit case. I threw on some jeans and my regular red button shirt. I walked out of my room and down the large stair case. I walked into the kitchen to see my dad and mom making breakfast. "Dad." I said with glee. "Hi there ellbell." I ran up and hugged him. My mom smiled. i hugged my mom and sat down. my mom gave me pancakes and I ate them all. I got up and said, "I'm gonna go for a walk." "okay sweetie be back soon." Sadie and Maggie greeted me at the door, i patted their heads and walked out the door.

Ella walked through the town going so far she didn't know that she passed the welcome sign, she was distracted by her thoughts of her old home and friends and family. she missed them so much. Ella felt a drop of water on her forehead. she lifted up her head to the sky and a down pour started. "aw, great..." she said in annoyance. she then realized how far she'd gone. "crap.." she said. she started running back, soon to be walking. she held her arms, trying to warm herself up. "I can't believe I went so far." she shivered. "I'm so stupid,  15 year old girl walking in the dark..." this was where Ella's adventure would begin.

Ella's pov

I heard someone screaming and yelling. I looked for the source of the sound, there were four men three beating up one of them. i covered my mouth and watched in horror as these three men were beating up and old man. I didn't know what to do. should i call the police? should I walk away? next thing I knew, I was running towards the men. the men turned towards me, they were in shock when they saw a young girl running their way. I jumped on the one with the red hoodie and started pounding my fists on his head. he was trying to pull me off. the two other guys trying to yank me from his back. I then fell to the ground and looked back up at them. they crowded me. I quickly stood my ground. "What is a young girl like yourself doing in a place like this?" the man was tall and lanky, he was wearing a black hoodie, I didn't respond to him, I just held my fists up. the one with the red hoodie said. "lets just kill her and get it over with."  Something broke in me, kill? I started to back up a bit. the guy with the green hoodie chuckled. he smelled my fear. they started talking and making decision on how to get rid of me. I was shaking. I was trying to sneak away, but I remembered the old man. I have to get to him. I then started sneaking past them and trying to make my way to the old man. The guy with the red hoodie saw me and grabbed my arm, my eyes widened in shock. I was thrown back against the brick wall, I winced in pain and slid down the wall. the red hoodie man pulled out a knife and cut my arm. "OW!!" I held my arm. "Don't move." the guy in the red hoodie said. I closed my eyes, ready for the worst. I then heard a crash, like a bottle breaking, and I heard screams of pain, echoing through the ally. I opened my eyes to see the old man, holding a broken bottle. I looked to see the three men bleeding, and pasted out. I looked back to the old man holding his hand out to me, waiting for me to grab it.
