Moonpaw ran over to Coolstar's body, 'No, he can't be dead! He has nine lives doesn't he?'. She buried her muzzle into the leader's fur, Moonpaw heard a cat padding towards her. She didn't bother to look up, she didn't care if the cat was ThunderClan or not. "Moonpaw, it's ok. It's me, Hollyheart." Moonpaw heard the cat say.
She looked up and saw the WindClan deputy standing beside Coolstar's body. Hollyheart's blue eyes were glittering with grief. The deputy headed up to the highrock, "This is enough! ThunderClan, leave now or we will make you leave!" Hollyheart yowled.
"Looks like WindClan has given up!" Moonpaw heard a ThunderClan cat meow.
Hollyheart hissed "Leave. Now"
The ThunderClan cats began filing out of the WindClan camp. Petalfur was rushing around the camp, checking everyone's wounds and treating the most serious ones. Hollyheart checked around the clearing and made sure everyone was ok. Moonpaw saw some warriors dragging the dead bodies into the middle of the clearing. She looked at the bodies in the clearing, 'No, they can't be dead. They can't!' Moonpaw thought, her heart pounding with grief and anxiety. "Are you ok Moonpaw?" She jumped when she heard Hollyheart's voice.
"How about you come to the medicine den, you seem to be in shock. I'm sure Petalfur can give you some thyme leaves." Hollyheart meowed softly.
Moonpaw shook her head, "I'm fine," she meowed.
"I know your first battle can be scary, especially a battle with so much death." Hollyheart meowed, "Why don't you go rest for a bit, you should feel better."
Moonpaw nodded and when headed to the apprentices den. Her legs were shaking so much she felt as thought she might topple over. Just as she was about to go into the den, Bumbletail padded up to her, "Hey Moonpaw," he meowed, his voice was a bit shaky, "Are you hurt?"
Moonpaw shook her head, "Not badly, I should be fine." She meowed to him.
Bumbletail let out a purr, "That's good."
"Hollyheart told me to go rest, she said that first battles are always a bit shaking." Moonpaw meowed.
"Yeah, they can be." Bumbletail meowed, "Well, i'll leave you to rest then."
Moonpaw nodded and headed to her nest. She curled up and tried to fall asleep but the pictures of the cats dying wouldn't get out of her head. She suddenly heard two cats looking around the apprentice den. She looked up and saw Nectarleaf and Conefoot searching the den. "What's wrong?" Moonpaw asked.
"Conefoot's kits have gone missing, we can't find them anywhere." Neactarleaf meowed as Conefoot was panicking searching around the den.
"Briarkit and Flykit are missing?" Moonpaw meowed.
Neactarleaf nodded, "Have you seen them?"
Moonpaw shook her head, "No, but do you want help looking for them?" She asked.
"No, you go back to sleep." Neactarleaf meowed, "I think we'll be able to find them."
They left the den, Neactarleaf trying to comfort Conefoot. Moonpaw curled up in her nest and finally fell asleep.

Hollystar had come back from visiting the moonpool to receive her nine lives and had called a clan meeting. "As we all know, many of our cats have died in this battle." Hollystar meowed, "Hollypaw was one of those cats and I have chosen to give her her warrior name before she goes to StarClan."
Hollystar climbed down the highrock and went over to Hollypaw's body in the middle of the clearing. She looked up at the sky, the stars slowly fading in the beginning of the light of dawn. "I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice, she has learned the warrior code and has given up her life in the service of her clan. Let StarClan receive her a a warrior. She shall be known as Hollyfern for her courage and loyalty." Hollystar meowed.
She climbed back up onto highrock, "Everyone fought bravely in this battle. I believe there are some worthy apprentices ready to become warriors." Hollystar meowed, "Moonpaw and Minnowpaw, please step forward."
Moonpaw shook with excitement, she wasn't expecting to become a warrior yet. "I, Hollystar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have both trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn." Hollystar meowed. "Do you both promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." Minnowpaw and Moonpaw meowed.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Minnowpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Minnowtuft. StarClan honors your loyalty and bravery and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." Hollystar meowed. "And Moonpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Moonsong. StarClan honors your courage and kindness and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan."
The clan began to chant the new warriors' names, "Moonsong! Minnowtuft!"
Moonsong puffed out her chest with pride as they chanted her name. She noticed Minnowtuft wasn't quite as happy as she was, "It's alright Minnowtuft, I'm sure that Hollyfern is watching you from StarClan. She's probably chanting your name right now, celebrating your warrior ceremony." Moonsong meowed.
Minnowtuft let out a half-hearted smile, "Yeah, I guess." He meowed as he looked up at the sky.
"Now that I am leader, I must appoint a deputy." Hollystar meowed. "Applehaze, I believe that you are an experienced and loyal warrior. Do you choose the take the responsibility as the deputy of WindClan?"
             "Yes, I do." He meowed.
"Then Applehaze is our new deputy." Hollystar meowed
Moonsong and Minnowtuft headed to sit vigil outside the camp entrance. Moonsong was itching to go to the ThunderClan border to meet Flameheart, she wanted to ask him why he had attack WindClan if he had promised not to. She dug her claws into the ground, 'Lying fox-heart!' She thought, trying her best not to hiss it out loud.

After a long night of sitting vigil, Hollystar came outside and told them that there vigil was over. Minnowtuft simply yawned and headed to his nest. Moonsong nodded to Hollystar and headed to the ThunderClan border. 'I wonder what excuse he will come up with.' Moonsong thought irritably. She arrived at the border, a ThunderClan patrol was passing by. "What are you doing here?" One of the cats spat.
"I would like to speak to Flameheart." She responded.
"Fine, wait here and we'll bring him to you." The cat hissed and padded off with his patrol.
Moonsong waited until they came back with Flameheart. Flameheart beckoned then away and padded to Moonsong, "Hello Moonpaw, what do you want to tell me?" He asked.
"It's Moonsong actually." She meowed
"Well that's great! Your a warrior already." Flameheart purred
Moonsong hissed, "Why did you attack WindClan? You promised me that you were going to try to make peace, not kill my clanmates!"
"I wasn't informed of this, I had no idea my warriors had gone to attack WindClan. They must have not told me first. If they had told me, I would have said no to their requests." Flameheart meowed.
"Oh so you didn't know? Your warriors just attacked us without your permission?" Moonsong asked.
"Sadly yes. How are your clanmates, are they recovering well?" Flameheart asked
"Lots of warriors died. Coolstar was killed but we now have a new leader, Hollystar." She meowed, "Also Conefoot's two kits have gone missing and everyone thinks that ThunderClan stole them. Did your warriors happen come back with two kits?"
"Not that I know of." Flameheart meowed.
"Oh." Moonsong meowed.
"I'm sure WindClan be able to find them soon." Flameheart meowed, resting his tail on her shoulder.
"Yeah, I guess so." She meowed, "Well I have to get going, I'll see you tonight I guess."
Flameheart touched noses with her, "Goodbye."' he meowed.
Moonsong headed back to the WindClan camp.
Exhausted, she flopped into her nest and fell asleep.
