chapter 8

Y/n marched into Ozpins office, his body language conveying a sense of anger and curiosity. Ozpin stood from his chair, fully knowing Y/n had something to tell or shout in this case. Y/n stopped at the other end on Ozpin's desk placing both hands on the desk and looked him dead in the eyes.

Y/n: "Alright Oz..."

Y/n paused after calling him Oz to show he was ready to throw down what he thought.

Y/n: "...I fought myself at the damn beach what do you know..."

Ozpin looked Y/n in the eyes not sure of what Y/n had just said. Ozpin shook  his head but, his curiosity peeked as a result.

Ozpin: "Dose anyone else know?"

Best to get this incident under control,   Ozpin told himself as Y/n let out a sigh.

Y/n: "Only Weiss who I dealt with..."

Ozpin: "You threatened her!?"

Y/n shook his head and said rapidly.

Y/n: "No no I'd never. I just asked her and she understood, you try explaining that to every one in team Rwby and jnpr I'd be labled insane"

Ozpin nodded, knowing explaining that to them would be problematic.

Y/n: "It could be Salem, She's most likely the one with the power to do it...but why it dose nothing to turn me, in fact it keeps me on the straight path..."

Ozpin: "I have no clue, maybe the answer will show it's self eventually..."

Emerald gasped heavily as her body ached all over. It was the most powerful mind link she had ever done  but, she had accidentally linked with the heiress of the schnee dust company. She hadn't meant to do so but it just happened by happenstance exhausting her even more. Cinder helped her to her bed sitting her down, grabbing a glass water and handing it to her. Emrald grabbed the glass and drank every last drop, laying the glass on the bed.

Cinder: "You did two didn't you?"

Emrald nodded feeling woozy.

Emrald: "I didn't mean to...it just happened"

Cinder: "it'll do, I don't want him dethroning me you hear you keep him from turning to our masters side it'll ruin us all got that"

Cinder gestured to herself and both Emerald and Mercury.

Mercury: "Yea I'll do my part, this better be worth it though"

Emerald only nodded as she laid down.

Cinder: "It will be don't you worry just keep Y/n safe got it"

Mercury and Emerald nodded knowing that this was for the greater good.

Y/n woke up sitting up seeing Ruby sleeping peacefully next to him. He had been floating from bed to bed and  tonight was Ruby's turn, and tomorrows was Blake's. Y/n slid off the bed and grabbed his saber and exited the room quietly without walking a soul. Once he closed the door someone went 'Ahem'. Y/n wiped  around activating his light saber illuminating the hallway in a white light, the person who ahemed was to Y/n's relief was Ren who didn't even flinch when Y/n drew his blade. Y/n sighed and closed down his blade, darkness returning to the hall.

Ren: "couldn't sleep I see, wanna grab a bite?"

Y/n: "Sure, sorry"

Ren: "No need everyone's been on edge thanks to the vital tournament which is only two days away...You fighting?"

Y/n: "No teams of four only and I'm not the experienced even with my powers"

Ren nodded understanding the reason s. Both Y/n and Ren walked down the hallway and after ten paces reached the stairs the descend them. Once at the cafeteria they nabbed breakfast since it being six am. Both sat across from one another casually eating.

Y/n: "Foods still warm, everybody should be just waking now"

Ren: "yea...don't looked but theres two shady looking guys outside they look white fang"

Ren took another bite and Y/n placed his saber on the table as a message to the guys outside. He could sense there intent to capture him and take him away. Another evil presence was felt above, Y/n grabbed dove across the table pushing Ren away from the attack from above. The table rattled at  a dog faunus in blood red clothes swung at Y/n with his short blade. Y/n summoned his saber to his hand whistling in the air, once in his hand he parried the attack with ease sparks falling to the ground. Y/n kept his blade trained on the attacker as one of the guys outside entered while the other ran making him the smartest one of the group. The dog swung in a upward arc but was quickly blocked. The other aimed a gun at Y/n but was kicked by Ren who with some precise hits knocked the faunus out. Ren grabbed the gun and fired a burst at the dog faunus killing him instantly. Both Y/n and Ren looked at one another wondering why they would come here.

Y/n: "I don't know what the fuck happened. Let's get the teachers"

Ren: "What about the other guy?"

Y/n: "He's not worth it I dont want more blood spilled"

Ren agreed.

The last surviving member slipped into the alleyway only to be shot in the back of the head by an unknown assassin. Mercury saw Emerald hands shake as she let go of the silenced sniper rifle, he placed a hand on her shoulder in a comforting way. That takes care of one problem, Mercury told himself packing the weapon up.
