A whole week had went by and it was finally Friday. I was excited as hell. Senior year was harder than I thought. I was looking forward to just relaxing at home and binging on some TV shows.
The moment class was over, I rushed outside.
To my surprise I saw Oscars red car waiting by the exit. I immediately felt nervous. I looked like a hot mess and we hadn't spoken since he dropped me home that evening.
He honked his horn and rolled down his window.
"Nati come here" he yelled.
I walked to his car and immediately got stares from my classmates.
"What's up?" I said while leaning into the car window.
"Come inside" he said with a smirk.
I opened his car door and got in the passenger's seat.
"How you been nena?" He asked.
"Good. Just busy with classes. How bout you?" I asked.
"I'm chillin. Getting back to the hang of things. A lot changed since I been locked up." He replied.
"That's good that you're getting back to your old routine. Just be careful please. I ... I mean your gang doesn't need you to get locked up again." I said.
"Aw, you care about me. How cute. But I'll be careful nena." He replied with a grin.
"What are you doing here anyway" I questioned.
"Gotta pick up my lil bro. We got some business to handle. And if things are still the same, I know seniors get out early so I thought I'd drop by and see you first." He said.
"Business with Cesar?" I questioned.
"Yeah lil bro is part of the gang now." Oscar nonchalantly answered.
My heart sank. That was the last thing I wanted for Cesar.
"Whats wrong nena?" He asked.
"Cesar? Really? Why would you make him join your gang? He has such a bright future." I said.
"Since when you care about Cesar?" Oscar asked.
"Since forever. He was and still is my friend. Plus... We have a special connection" I blurted out.
"A special connection? You fucked my lil bro." Oscar asked in anger.
"Well... During the summer, we hooked up. But I stopped it immediately. It just didn't feel right" I nervously replied.
Oscar looked at me and shook his head.
"Hooked up? How old are you? Did you let him fuck or not?!" Oscar yelled.
I nodded my head yes.
He sat there looking pissed as fuck. i didn't owe him any explanation but for some odd reason I felt the need to try and ease the situation.
"Oscar, we really only made out and touched a bit. The moment he started to smash, I pushed him away. I was drunk at the time" I replied.
I looked at Oscar and he still looked upset.
"Does anyone know?" He grunted.
"No. Just he and I" I quickly responded.
"Good. Keep it that way. That doesn't excuse your behavior though" he said, still sounding annoyed.
I immediately crossed my arms.
"Excuse my behavior? What does that even mean" I asked.
"You can't be out here fuckin who you want Nati. If you grown, you need to act like it" he sternly answered.
