At one random night of irritating restlessness
my fingers and toes shivered
my nails turned lilac
I heard a distant buzz in my ear

I changed my position to ignore the unfamiliar feeling
But it kept growing stronger
My stomach did a somersault as if the new acids excited it
The dark thoughts that were running through my mind turned into fireworks, sending tingling sensation all over my body

Wiping the sweat beads from my forehead,
I threw the pillow over my head hoping for any chance to silence this uncanny

Yet,
Once again, a unique rhythm wormed its way into my body
Leaving me electrocuted for a good ten minutes

My heartbeat was your name

Is it that time of life yet?
