Hope:
When your eyes adjust to the darkness, and you begin to see again.

Hope can be the easiest yet the hardest thing to feel.
Sometimes it feels like a cool, crystal clear water flowing through lush vegetation and the ever soothing scent of wet sand and green grass.
And sometimes, it feels like a permanent, thorny lump pulsating in my throat.

Maybe it is more than an only twinkling star on a cloudless sky.
It resides inside us and reverberates when we grumble in despair.
Something very soft and powerful, making us stop and stare at the space between our sobs.

Something quite unreachable but just there.
A reminder, maybe.
A ray as they say.
A ray of hope.
