"Again, I'm really sorry miss," My tour guide, who I have already forgiven back when I was walking by the forest, said for the nth time.
"Kuya, seriously, no worries," I said as he escorted me to Cove Beach.
We were at a trail that slopes down with shrubbery all around us. The path was full of stairs but since we were going down it wasn't as tiring as it would be once we went up later on, but I'm not going to think about that.
The path was kinda slippery from the people who were coming back from Cove Beach dripping wet, but if there's anything I know from their glowing faces is that at the end of this trek, all of it would be worth it.
My tour guide was gracious enough to lend me his hand whenever there were too narrow stairs but I politely declined since there was no need for it. We were by the forest and the path now has straightened, people were coming to and from and it took everything in me not to run to the beach.
Once the trees cleared we ended up inside a massive cave. The walls arch at the top that's rounded into the dome-like structure of the beach. The sunlight is reflected by the turquoise water creating a shimmering effect and all around the area palm trees were scattered. At the very end of the cave is an opening for massive waves to enter the cove.
Everything that happened today was worth it because now I get to appreciate this scenery more. I took a picture for my Instagram and waved goodbye to my tour guide.
I walked down the beach feeling giddy about the soft white sand on my feet as I searched for a place to sunbathe.
Not too many people should be around but not too far away that I looked I'm avoiding them. It should be near the water that it would only take me a couple of steps to get in but not too near that when a wave comes it'll take my things with it. Lastly, I need to be close to a hottie.
That's the most important because why else would you want a summer body.
Suddenly, an image of the guy who showed me we matched on Tinder flashed inside my mind.
Well, he's definitely hot.
But he looks conceited.
I suddenly felt the urge to check his messages on my Tinder...
Okay, scratch that last part then, just a space with few people within a reasonable distance by the water will do.
That guy was too dangerous for someone who's as marupok as I am so I continued my search and ignored that nagging voice inside my mind telling me that life is short and that I should get on with it.
Although, it would be funny or maybe even a romantic story...
Hmmm...
Who am I kidding we met on Tinder.
