Those fireflies up above in the velveteen sky
Thy light so mild, so innocent so feeble
Wilt thou come down here, as thou art nearby
And spread thy purity on us earthly people? So innocent thou art glimmering day and night
So small in size, little flies of Aries and Taurus
Always soothe me with thy light so dimly bright
Linger over the lonely desert, sea and forestI saw thee through the powerful Hubble
Thou art no flies, thou so far away, so inaccessible
Fiery red giants for those near thee, thou art trouble
Thou no longer divine,in my eyes thou art despicableWhy must thee change? Where is thy eternal divinity
Where is thy celestial body once meek as a firefly?
thou wert close to me, now no longer in the vicinity
As burning red giants thou shine in the velveteen sky
