Sometimes looking at someone/something superficially isn't enough to know who they really are. It takes a closer look to truly grasp their real identity. Just like the stars spoken of in the poem.

All of our worst human traits - gossiping, judging, comparing, anxiety, narcissism - and our own negative thinking patterns come down to one thing. The fact that we are animals. We are supposedly the most intelligent species on earth. I would argue that we cannot claim that accolade until we admit that we are animals and that much of our 'bad' behaviour is based on our instinct to survive. Every other creature on earth has just one priority in life - to survive. What makes us think we are any different? So take a moment to think - how is gossiping linked to our basic survival, animal instinct? Read on to find out more.

A merciless diagnosis of human desire - from biology to myth, from the mechanics of attraction to the shadow we carry inside. The aim: to identify, dissect, and work through the impulses that shape our relationships and decisions. This book invites intense self-examination, practical exercises, and ethically framed techniques grounded in classical psychological theory.

Everyone has a story about where they come from. If you knew you could die tomorrow what stories, messages and learnings would you want to leave for your loved ones? This book is an unapologetically honest and raw account of a working-class first-generation immigrant along with advice for my future child on the two main issues at play which they will likely encounter from the moment they enter this world: gender and race. Throughout my life, I have moved a total of 15 times. I've seen a lot and experienced a great deal of disparity between what we're told society should function like, and the way it works in reality. This book is written for and as if speaking with my future child. I hope you read this with the vulnerability, love and compassion with which it was created.

Everyone says, "I'm fine." This book is about everything hiding behind that. Each chapter starts with "How to..." but none of this is advice. It's not a guide, not therapy, not motivation. It's immersion - a way of stepping inside the psychology beneath everyday behavior. How to love too much. How to stay in a surface-level relationship. How to put up walls. How to know when someone is using you. How to fade into the shadows. How to leave fingerprints on someone's heart. How to make a star out of collapse. These aren't tutorials. They're x-rays. If you've ever felt "too sensitive," "too intense," or like you notice things other people shrug off... you'll probably recognize yourself here. And if you've ever wondered why people do the things they do - stay, leave, hide, love, disappear - these pieces walk you through the patterns without pretending they're simple. This is a book for people who see too much, feel too deeply, and keep loving anyway. Not to fix you. Just to prove you're not the only one who reads the world like this. If there's something you wish someone would explain - not in a self-help way, but in a real way - tell me in the comments. I'll write it. If it destroys me emotionally, even better. At least we'll both learn something

"It's not easy to be a girl - not in this era. Society will judge you, family will misunderstand you, and the one you love may never truly stand for you. In today's world, trust is a rare currency; friends can be enemies in disguise, and smiles often hide venom. So if you must stand, stand for yourself - because no one else will."

Numerous societies around the world appear to be separating into two relatively vague but opposing sides -- The Left and The Right. Over the past number of years, this divide seems to be manifesting further, faster, and with greater intensity. So much so that these culture wars are now becoming one of the main topics that many people are thinking about, talking about, and in efforts to solve said issue, are even starting to fight about. Why are we dividing more rampantly now than in the last few decades? Will these cultural rifts be more helpful or harmful to future generations? Should we embrace the direction we're headed in, or slow things down, turn them around, and look to close the gap? Written from a personal and philosophical point of view, I have provided opinion-based answers to the questions above, as well as a few others which I propound to be the most imperative for us to now consider. I have also outlined what is seemingly exacerbating our current divide, what I theorize to be an optimal direction to keep the bow of our ship headed towards, and my illation to certain conclusions and recommendations which I believe could help us along this uncharted path.

'Social Graces' is a study guide towards social behaviour in people. This is going to be me studying people from overanalysing and overthinking different scenarios within relationships between people. 'Social Graces' is here to help you learn. ~ Author's Note: Hello my fellow readers!! So this is another random book that I'm writing, it's mainly focused on something that I love studying which is social behaviour. I want to share with you all what I have came up with randomly. It's going to be having a similar concept to my other book, 'Little Things You Don't Realise...', although I'll put in a little fictional story. This is going to be both a story and studies if you couldn't tell. It'll be based off things I thought of, or thing's I have learnt based on social behaviour. Disclaimer: No, I am not a living Anthropologist but I definitely plan to be studying to become one © 2016 - penguin_elly: All Rights Reserved
