*YOU WILL BE READING FROM MARIA'S POV* 

By the time my old school collapsed I have been wondering how will my life be. I am not the type of girl that worries about school and grades, but either way, I really had no idea how would I keep on living... 

The only thing that calmed me down a bit was that rumor about some scholarships that were about to be given. However, it was the last days of summer so I had no intention to waste them worrying about school. My best friend's brother was about to return from jail so we had planned to spend the time of our lives. 

Christian and Samuel have been by my side since we were babies, especially after my parents' death. Losing both my parents, devastated me, but fortunately I never felt alone, because of my friends. I had a really small house but sometimes I was staying either with Samuel and his mother or with christian. 

So when I heard that me and both of my best friends had gained a scholarship for Las Encinas I was relieved but stressed too. This school was known as one of the most luxurious schools in Spain, so unlike Christian who was head over hills for going there, I thought I would never fit in. Not that I really cared about fitting in as long as I wad my friends. So I decided to call them and try to meet them.

 *phone call* 

-MARIA: "What's up Samuel. Where are you?"

 -SAMUEL: "Hola! Todos Bien.(Hey! Everything's good) I am at my place with Christian waiting for Nano to arrive. He should be here any minute now. Wanna come and meet him too?" 

-MARIA: "Yeah of course. I am coming." 

I really wanted to meet Nano, I had heard a lot for him and as I had seen from photos, he was really, really handsome. So I quickly put on a jacket and headed to Samuel's place. 

*door bell ringing* 

-MARIA: "Oye Samuel", I said while hugging him "Where is Christian" 

-SAMUEL: "He went to buy drinks and cigarettes, he just left didn't you guys met" 

-MARIA: "No, I didn't see him. So where is your brother? I am really looking forward to meeting him"

 -SAMUEL: "He will be here any minute now. So, I am going to take a bath, in case christian arrives, open him the door"

 I sat there waiting when the bell rang... 

-MARIA(shouting): "At last Christian! I would kill for some Vodka right now", I said opening the door, but as I was opening it, I saw a figure different to Christian, much more taller and wider 

I stood there looking at him speechless, he was super hot. It was Nano, I recognized him immediately. 

-NANO: "Is everything OK"

 -MARIA: "Yes, yes of course! You must be Nano, I am Samuel's best friend, Maria"

 I said still in a shook but less than before.

 -NANO: "Who thought that Samuel could manage to have such a beautiful friend"

 I blushed and trying to reduce the awkwardness, I shouted: 

-MARIA: "Ehh, Samuel, your brother is here"

 Samuel had just walked out of his room and immediately headed over his brother hugging him -SAMUEL:"Hermano, I had missed you so much" 

-NANO: "Come on Samu, I know your life was better without me" 

MARIA: "What are you talking about, he was really excited to have you back in town", I added to show how much Samu cared about Nano 

SAMUEL:"Nano, this is Maria, probably one of the best people you will ever know"

MARIA:"Come on you make me blush" 

NANO:"Well I have a feeling that this is true" he said giving me his hand I accepted it and said: 

MARIA:"Well your brother is kinda exaggerating " 

NANO:"We will see that" he said smirking

 Thankfully, the awkward silence broke instantly when Christian banged the door shouting 

CHRISTIAN:"Come on guys, I brought drinks" 

I ran at the door helping Christian with the bags. We sat at the living room chatting about everything. Nano caught up with our news about the new school, we had drunk plenty of shots so we were all a little tipsy regardless the fact that it was only 4:00 pm. After some time Christian took a joint and brought it to his lips. I asked it from him and as I was about to get it, Nano grabbed it and threw it.

NANO:"You are too young to smoke" 

MARIA:"Excuse me? I am as old as Samu and Christian. Besides, I've smoked plenty of times before" I said while getting another cigarette.

 NANO:"If you say so, Princessa" he said smirking Samuel turned over him looking at him with curiosity but commended nothing 

The rest of the evening was chill. Nano was a really good guy, whose company we all really enjoyed.I stayed with them until very late and by that time we were all completely wasted. 

MARIA: "Well I should probably go, I will be a mess tomorrow morning unless I leave now" 

SAMU:"Maria you are drunk as hell I cannot let you go like that. I would help you get to your house and help you a bit but I preferably not leave Nano alone his first night here. Christian could get do it but he is not a lot better than you.So do you wanna stay here? But you will have yo sleep on the couch because now we have an other one too"he said pointing Nano 

MARIA:"Yeah sure, thank you so much. I hope I am not being a problem", I said not really understanding what I was saying.

 NANO:"Don't make it a big deal. I will sleep on the couch" 

MARIA:"No no it is okey. It is already too much staying here your first night" 

SAMUEL:"Don't even think about it, we will have good company, right Nano?"

 NANO:"Yes of course. We would like some good company" he said and winked at me and I blushed 

I took a quick cold shower wishing I could sober up a bit. Then I laid on my (Samuel's second) bed. I closed my eyes and fell asleep immediately.
