Chapter 6: Friends and Enemies

I didn't really talk to anyone for the rest of the day. Instead of an aptitude test Commandant had me do a course instead. Through some trees, cut down five wooden practice titans, and the an open field... be creative I guess.

I made it through the trees and titans, and then I flew up high out of the trees so I could grapple to the finish line and not even have to touch the ground.

C: you set a course recorded previously held by Captain Levi

I smirked

S: I guess the little runt isn't all you think he's cracked up to be.

It was only later in the cadet barracks I really talked to any one. I was sharing with Micasa, Sasha, and Annie. Micasa already hates me cause of my knocking the brunette, apparently named Eren our cold. I walked in and was immediately hit with a punch to the forehead.

I of course got up. Her hand was bleeding form hitting me so hard.

S: oh honey you're gonna have to do better cause that's not gonna cut it.

Ymir and Christa came out to see what was happening, and the boys walking past stopped to watch. A tall brunette who hung out with a pale blond, said blonde with one hell of a resting bitch face, a coconut head blonde, and that Eren kid.

M: I don't want a big fight but you don't hurt my friends and get away with.

S: well it's gonna be a big fight cause you don't inconvenience me and get away with it.

Sasha: awww come on guys please don't fight

Annie: kick her ass Sage

Now I'll admit Micasa was a good fighter. But let's just say she wasn't carrying a knife and also wasn't quite fast enough to one. After a long cut in her side, Annie finally grabbed me by the arm and tried to pull me back.

A: I think she got the message Sage.

As I tried to pull away from her my jacket came off and everyone stopped and stared

A: uh Sage

S: yeah?

A: you have two enormous blood streaks going down your back.

S: shit

I pushed right past everyone and walked I into the cabin and the to the bathroom. Annie followed in while Sasha was still tending to Micasa

S: you have to promise not to freak out- I said looking at Annie's reflection in the mirror.

A: it's a little late for that -she said flatly

I took off my shirt to reveal to long scares down my back stretching vertically up and down my shoulder blades.

A: where the hell did those come from?

Without a word I began to unfold my wings form back. The bones came out devoid of flesh and steaming. Muscles began to wrap around them and finally black scales.

S: it's been to long since I'd let my wings out. That's why I was bleeding.

Just then Sasha and Micasa walked in.

M: what the hell

A: since when did you have wings

Sasha: and people call me weird

S: I've had them since I can remember. Plea- pleases don't tell the commandant. He might flip his shit.

A: do the scouts know?

S: yeah... I did have an underground name. The Black Dragon

M: I've heard of you. I thought that was just and exaggeration.

S: nope

A: in any case we won't be saying by anything to the commandant right ladies

Sasha: w- wouldn't dream of it

M: he should know

A: tell him and I will make it my personal mission to make Eren's life hell.

M: fine

Later that night**

I was in my bed when I tapped Annie on the shoulder

S: thanks for earlier- I guess I owe you know

A: it's on the house... it's just maybe we aren't so different and well, it would be nice to have maybe one friend.

S: I'd like that

A: I heard a rumor about you earlier... Jean was saying you can sing

S: yeah when money got tight I'd go up and sing in a few bars. Usually more trouble than it was worth for me but money is money.

Sasha: can you sing for us??

S: why do you care

A: I'd like to hear too

S: fine

So a sang a song for them

Sasha: woah

A: it sounded like that was about someone

S: I don't want to talk about it

A: so it is about someone

S: you see this scare on my neck?

A: yeah

S: it's where I took a knife and slit my throat. For intensive purposes I should have died. But for some twisted reason the world won't let me die

M: maybe you have a purpose here. Like some underlying force know you are gonna do something important

S: I never believed in that bs. Not for a second

A: whatever I'm tired so can we please sleep
