"I still can't believe that the Emperor is your BROTHER!"
The loud voice of the blue ninja cut through the quiet of the morning haze, composed by most of the group. oof.
"Bluebelle, Sensei told you at least thirty times by now, would you please do the rest of us a favor and SHUT THE DUCK UP?! Please!" The Black Ninja ranted for a good three minutes, before lapsing into the silence of people not fully awake yet.
The inky black sky was slowly lightening to a deep navy blue, while we flew over Crashcource Canyon on our way to The Palace of Secrets, the centerpiece of Ninjago City. Master Wu had roused us at the UNGODLY hour of 4 in the morning, telling us that he may have finally found the 7th member of our incomplete team. Honestly, this is the gazillionth time the old man has said that! About 30 minutes into the ride though, he grew weary of the Blue Ninja's pestering and told us that we were on our way to see his brother in the Palace.
"Team! We have arrived. Welcome, to the Palace of Secrets!" The rich, vibrant red of the palace was accentuated by the Jade green of the traditional noyane roof. Columns that held up the roofs were all engraved with dragons, each depicting a different element. Overall, my personal opinion?
Flashy. My eyes drooped, not ready to face the music of the Royals just yet. Maybe I have time for a quick na- " AAAAAAAHh!! Sensei!!"
The old man's eyes twinkled as he pushed me with the tip of his staff. " Wake up (Y/N)!! The Royal Family awaits us all, and you slow us down?!"
Why am I here again?
oh, yeah. To find the Green Ninja. And I was tired of sitting at the monastery. but I wanted to go on a shopping trip, not be roused at the buttcrack of dawn!
"Alright, alRIGHT! Geez, don't get your obi in a twist" I grouched. I gazed around, taking in the 5 tired ninjas. Well, four. Zane was awake. Kai slouched on my shoulder, yawning. yuck.
"Ew, Kaaii! Did you even brush your teeth this morning? Cause that is some STANK." He recoiled, sending me a withering glare that would send most running for the hills. A muscle in his jaw twitched as he snapped back.
"YES. I DID, THANK YOU." Cole and Jay snickered behind me.
"Aww, it's owkay Kwai, dwo you need a huggie?" I howled with laughter, as Nya ran forward to clamp her hand over my mouth. Kai's eyes blazed with fury as he turned to the sniggering pair.
"SHUT IT JA-" Kai choked as he was konked on the head by a bamboo staff.
