Chapter 2- Familiar Faces

You might be wondering what's been going on these past two years. Well I resumed school after Kyle left for Alpha school for two years. I started to get bullied so my parents and I moved. I switched packs and went to an all werewolf school. Kyle would be coming home soon from Alpha school, and he would have to go to a werewolf school since he's going to be Alpha. But enough about him. Let's go to reality.

Kali's POV

I'm in my bedroom in front of my full length mirror. I put on my last accessory, my favorite blue jewel necklace. I look in the mirror one more time and then grab my bag and go. "Bye Mom." I yell as I slide down the rails. Ya, my new house has 2 levels and a perfect rail for sliding on. 😉

I get in my blue truck and drive off to school. "I missed you." I say to my car as I listen to the radio.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th period go by so quickly. It's 5th period now and it's time for lunch.

I sit at my normal table with my usual group. You could say I'm popular here because of my looks. Apparently I'm really pretty...

I sit with my best friends Rachel and Chloe. They are HUGE gossip girls, but they can keep a secret if your their friend. "So what's happening today?" I ask as I sit down with my lunch.

"Apparently there's a new kid coming to our school!-" Rachel starts like it's some theory.

"AND he's an Alpha." Chloe interrupts.

"Bonus!" Chloe and Rachel say at the same time.

"I heard that he has Language Arts for 6th period!" Rachel said it like she was telling a spooky story.

"That's your class Kal!" Chloe squealed. "You have to tell us all about him! Please!" They begged giving me their best puppy dog faces.

I groan. "Fine! I will!" I say sighing.

"Yay!" They yell! Oh my god they are MAJOR gossip girls! 😳😁😂😋

I walk into the classroom with all of my stuff when the most yummiest and intoxicating smell enters my nose. It smells like the woods. Is this our second chance mate? Yay! I hope. "I think it's Mate!" My wolf says.

"Ok. I'll check it out, but I don't wanna give it away too soon." I respond. She huffs then cuts off our connection.

I sit in my assigned seat and get working on the assignment that's on the board. The teacher comes in and closes the door. "Ok let's take attendance" I block him out as he says random names until he lands on mine. "Kali Reese?" "Here." I respond clearly.

I feel a pair of eyes land on me, staring at me heavily. It started to make me un-comfortable. I knew it was my mate. I looked at the clock pretending to check to time and used my peripheral vision to see the guy. He had chocolate brown hair.

I decided to look at him and our eyes immediately met. My breathing hitched, and my eyes went wide. He stood there smirking. The teacher suddenly called his name "Kyle Hayes?" "Here." He says smoothly making my wolf purr. Hmph, now she's back.

The teacher is teaching a lesson, and I'm barely listening. I mean I can't concentrate when I've got Ky- somebody staring at me the whole class period. (Btw the desk are set up like so: a row facing the front and two rows on each side facing in.) Kyle is on the right side of me and I'm in the back row.

The bell suddenly rings cutting of Mr.- actually I don't know what his name is. I gather my stuff as quickly as I can and race out of the classroom. I put my stuff up in my locker.

I run to find Chloe and Rachel. As I'm running down the hallway something hard smashes into me and pushes me into the janitors closet. The door shuts and they've got their hand on my mouth. Reality hits me when I feel the sparks on my mouth. I open my eyes and see Kyle.

"Hey Baby Girl." He says smirking.

Oh Great.
