Chapter Fourteen

Gun

"The last spot goes to..." I close my eyes as I hear the audience screaming their departments and candidate names. I already accept it. I think I fought so well tonight. All of my co-contender are really amazing and I'm so honored to be one of them. I hold firmly the hand next to me, bowing my head while waiting for the next contender to be called. When someone next to me drop my hand off. The screaming went wild again. I have no idea what is really going on. Yes I can hear their screams but my mind wasn't functioning right now so I thought I didn't make it and about to leave the stage.

"It was really you Mr. Gun Natapan, you were on the 5th spot" the MC clearly told me. I look to my co department and they are nodding at me. Earth was screaming that I am really on the spot.

It was a minute realization, I line up myself to the four other men in the corner of the stage. I realize that I was standing next to Mark. He also made it to the Top 5. But other than that, I am now more nervous this is going to make me pressure little shit here.

"And there you have it, our top 5 moons and stars. We are now entering to Question and Answer portion"

I breath in and breath out. I feel someone patted me. I jerked back to him and trying to act cool. But Mark just smiling so genuinely at me. I avoided it anyway.

"Its okay you can do it" he whisper.

I didn't budge to talk back at him. Its not even necessary.

The top 5 stars were the first one to answer. And when they are finish we are the next. I was the last one to take the question and I almost lost my shit when its Mark turn already. My chest are hurt right now, my heart skips as if I am going to lose any time right now a breath. I eyed Earth on the audience, he is with Title and Kao. They were all smile at me and giving me a thumbs up. I think that helps me a lot to focus.

"Our last contender... Mr. Gun Natapat"

This is it.

I step from where I stand up. Taking the mic that MC gives me. Because I was the last contender, I was also asked from the last remaining judge.

But before any else. I really felt something off. Or is it me?

She eyed me before she read the question...

"What situation you preferred to be with, being cheated on or being a cheater?" I was stunned. The question was way weird than I thought.

I clear my throat.. eyeing the audience before I close my eyes and release a deep breath.

"I guess I cant choose either to them. Being cheater will never be alright and also being cheated will never be feel alright. Because being in the two situation. You have always so many choices to do, when your about to cheat you have those choices not to do that and when you are cheated by someone you love you have also those choices to leave or to stay. Its always matter of choices"

Third's Person Point of View

The crowd went wild especially Gun's department as they heard his answer. Gun smiled looking at them. Eyeing them that he made it. Earth was on the audience screaming for his friend. But while the crowd were busy cheering.

The pair of sharp eyes. Eyeing Gun without his notice from the crowd. Waiting for the moment.

"Uhm.. can I do a follow up question?" the crowd was shockingly became silent after hearing the judge suddenly spoke up.

Gun was also confused. As far as he remember the other contender didn't have a follow up question regarding to their answer.

Mark was on the behind suddenly felt off. He saw Mint was on the audience smirking at him.

"How about being cheated with? Can you describe us how Mark cheated on Mint with you?" gasps of the crowd then started to murmur. Gun was on the center of the stage, the shock from the MC faces especially when the video behind them played on the background.

Where Mark and Gun kissed. Gun was still in state of confusion. Jerked back to where people looking at. Seeing that in front of him.

"Shit" he blurted out.

The other staff who saw that scene immediately unplugged all the wires connected to that screens. But its too late.. people saw it already.

To embarrassment... Gun were shaking as he position his mic to his mouth. While in the other hand. His anxiousness grow even more when he saw the crowd started to murmur. Mark was now upset and knew already who was behind of this sudden shit.

"I'm sorry" with that. he ran away off to that stage. Leaving all the people out there speechless.

Next Day

It was a horrible day for Gun. He didn't sleep even a blink of eye. He was still hunted from the competition last night. He didn't even bother to open his phone, due to fear of what may he have seen on the sns regarding to what happen last night. He was surely know he was the hottest gossip on their campus.

He was about to attempt to go to sleep when someone knock on his door. He was unconsciously walking to the door and open it. It was Kao who look so worried on him. He was with Earth too who automatically hugged Gun.

"Are you okay?" they know Gun wanted to have a time alone for the rest of the night that's why they only came today to check him up. Kao was still upset from what happen last night on how Gun was sabotaged by someone to make him an awful person right in front of his schoolmates.

They went inside. Still Gun didn't said anything and he let his friends inside on his unit.

"Its all over the internet" Earth started. Gun shake his head and he didn't want it to hear it.

"I know, it was shameful right?" he said and about to break down.

"Ssshh Gun" Kao patted his back.

"The competition last night went well even though after you walked out" Gun felt relieved after hearing it. He didn't want to ruin the show but he cant just stand to be there right after that embarrassing moment took him down

"Its good to know" he said while his head was down.

Kao and Earth look at each other first before they signaling to each other. Then Earth took his phone out.

"You didn't turn on your phone whole night, it was all over the internet now" Earth trying to make start the topic again but Gun was totally didn't want to know it, he knows it was about that freaking video.

"I don't want to see it" he push Earth hand and he accidentally clicked the play button of the video.

"...I still love Gun.. even after all this years"

Gun left shock after hearing it and pick Earth's phone up.

a/n: this extremely insane lame part. idk. but yeah all of us known the pandemic virus crossing the globe. i hope you guys safe and stay at your home at this moment. right now my work cut off and i don't when i will resume to work so yeah i hope ill update here more often. i hope you still up to this book. keep safe everyone.
