The War of Two Clans: Part 1

~Before the war~

•Oceane's P.O.V.•

After the massive and destructive battle with Serus' uncontrolled monster, we went to our house to get him cured by Arlo's power, but nothing's working on him.

"He's not waking up. His nerves are active, but his body is still asleep." Arlo said.

"His soul is not there. I can't feel him inside the body." Mason added.

"What should we do?" Grey asked with a worried expression.

"Stay here with him." Our father, Edward Fatum, said with his eyes despairing.

"What?" Beatrix asked with a puzzling utterance.

"I said stay here with him. There will be a war coming, and I don't want you all to be involved too." he replied.

"What do you mean by 'a war coming', dad." I asked with my face shocked.

"The Telum clan called out a war against us. I did deny it at first, but then someone tricked us and there your mother and I got captured. I can't describe the culprit, but I'm sure he's the one who controlled me to agree to the war declaration." said dad.

"Is.....mother still alive?" Vita uneasily asked.

"I.....don't know. But she told me something before we got separated from each other." father uttered.

"What is it, dad?" I asked.

" 'He can be anything, anyone, and anywhere. Don't let him fool you, because he might be the cause of all of this. I will come back for you.' That's what your mother told me." he said.

Everybody in the room went silent, including me. I thought she was dead, because of what dad said a while ago. But knowing that he doesn't know, there might be a chance for her to be alive. Everyone sees me as a calm person, but they don't know that I'm also struggling.

"Move away!" Arlo concurrently shouted with the blast that hit our home.

"Where are you?! Are you kids alright?" dad yelled and called.

"We're fine, dad. What was that?" I asked.

"They started the war already. All of you stay away as far as possible." our dad commanded.

"We need to get Serus to his home. I feel that there's something in his home that will save him." Mason said.

"I will go with you." I said.

"Me too." Grey uttered.

"I will stay with dad." Arlo uttered with a sense of passion.

"Us too." Vita said, along with Blaze and Beatrix.

"I told you to get out of--" dad was interrupted by Arlo.

"No. If you're going to push us away, then what have you trained me for?" Arlo uttered.

"Arlo is right, dad. This might be the opportunity that we could show you our powers too. Don't you want that?" Beatrix continued to convince our father.

"Fine, but you'll stay behind me and follow my instructions. Is that clear?"

"Yes." Blaze said.

"We'll go to Serus' house." Mason said.

"Just be careful." dad uttered.

"See you later." Grey said.

We separated paths and moved onto our own destinations. Serus' house isn't that far from ours, it's just a walk-in-distance trip. We walked fast, but careful with Serus in Mason's arms. We are nearing to the house, then a man blocked our way.
