Into the Light [Completed]

Chapter 1

It's been a while since the Founding Day Festival. Most people there that day could agree that it was one of the hardest days to go through. Many people were hurt, and some even killed. Hadrian and Cassie Rose's return was trouble for anyone and everyone. Luckily, they were defeated, or so we think. Their return would not be welcomed again anytime soon.

On top of that, the Jesse twins and the rest of the New Order of the Stone had just recently defeated the Admin. The Admin had done a significant amount of damage to Beacontown. So after his defeat, the twins decided to lock him up in a place where he would never be found. Otto and Mevia had helped them with this, hiding him within the Frozen Wastelands.

Life for everyone was finally getting back to normal. But nothing built can last forever, as we've all heard one time or another.

Currently, the twins and rest of the order were helping people rebuild and repair their homes and shops. Radar, the twins intern, was their newest member and was slightly confused when people started talking about these 'Hadrian' and 'Cassie Rose' people.

Radar looked around at the buildings and saw something he'd never seen before. He stumbled upon a shop that had a broken window. There was blood on the broken glass and some splattered on the floor and wall inside. He wondered what had happened and decided to ask Jessica about what happened. He started walking away from the building before bumping into Petra.

"I-I'm so sorry!" Radar exclaimed.

Petra chuckled, "It's okay, bud. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I was actually on my way to ask Jessica about what happened to that building," Radar answered pointing the shop with the broken window.

Petra looked at the building he was pointing to. Her eyes widened in shock. A flashback of Mevia's body being thrown into the building and shattering through window was brought into her mind. The sound of bones breaking and glass shattering clouded her hearing. She imagined the pool of blood that surrounded Mevia's limp and almost dead body.

Petra began to tear up at the thought of the pain Mevia must have gone through. She never liked Mevia at first, but after seeing what Mevia would do to save her friends; Petra started to feel guilty about treating the older female so horribly. She couldn't bare to think about if Mevia had actually died.

"Petra, are you alright?" Radar asked with concern.

Petra wiped away her tears and looked at him, "Yeah, I'm f-fine."

Radar put a reassuring hand on the older female's shoulder. He gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze.

"Why don't we get back to the temple? That way you can talk to Jessica," Petra suggested.

"Sure," Radar responded.

Petra chuckled and looked ahead before looking back at Radar.

"I'll race ya," Petra said teasingly.

"Oh, you're on. Prepare to eat my dust!" Radar said.

Petra chuckled before running ahead of him. Radar ran after her as fast as he could before shouting,

"Hey, get back here!"

The two of them ran to he temple, hot on their heels.

Harper sighed as she watched the game of spleef going on. After the whole incident with Hadrian and Cassie's return, Harper decided to stay with Otto and Mevia to help them out with the Games. But, that wasn't the only reason she had decided to stay.
