margo jones.

margo was in a bad mood. And it was never a good thing when Margo went to work with a bad mood. Her job as a magazine columnist and fashion consultant for Vogue was already stressful enough. With the constant banter of her boyfriend, things weren't getting much easier. Her miu miu heels clacked across the marble flooring as she made her way to her office. She slammed her door shut and right away began responding to emails. Her buzzer alarmed.

"Uh there's a Harry on line three for you miss Jones," a nasally voice informed once Margo picked up the receiver. She groaned. Last night she was sad, now Harry had put her in a mood. And when she was in a mood it was in Harry's best interest that he just leave her be. She didn't want to speak to him. In fact, she was ignoring him. So she simply set the phone back down onto the receiver and continued about her business. That was until someone walked into her office.

She was about to tell her receptionist Marcie to fuck off but as she looked up her eyes didn't land on a chubby 40 year old woman, they landed on her slim and sleek boyfriend Harry. "You didn't answer my call," he said cooly. Margo stared. "I was busy at the moment," she lied. Harry gave her a look knowing she was talking bullshit. What was he doing here. "I wanna make up for the other night. Let's go grab something down town," he shrugged reaching for a golden paper airplane paperweight on Margo's desk.

"I have work," she replied simply as she averted her eyes from him and back onto her computer screen where she began typing away again. She could feel Harry's gaze burn holes through her as she pretended not to care. "M, I'm trying to make it up to you and you say you have work ?! Last night you were pissed and now you don't want anything to do with me," Harry cried angry at his girlfriends sudden change in mood.

"Harry I have things to do. I can't just drop everything to spend time with you now that it's convent for you," she snapped. Harry groaned and tossed his head back ready to pull out his hair. "Whatever Margo, don't say I didn't try,"he growled walking out of Margo's office slamming the door as hard as he could on his way out. Margo squeezed her eyes shut but continued to work on her piece for an article. Fallouts with Harry happened often, she just needed to continue on with her duties. She'd deal with him later.

As she typed away, minutes since Harry left had become hours and the day was quickly dragging on. Margo had a banana for lunch but pretty much wrote and wrote for the rest of her time in the office. Before she knew it the time had changed to 9:12. "Go home Margo," her receptionist sighed popping her head in Margo's doorway. Margo sighed herself and ran a hand through her hair. She shut off her computer and gathered her things finally agreeing that she should head home.

She wanted to apologise to Harry. To make it right with him. She was done giving him the silent treatment and was ready to just make amends with him. So Margo said goodbye to Marcie and walked out into the cold New York air to hail a taxi. It only took her five minutes to get one and ten to get to her apartment. Before she knew it she was turning the knob to walk inside. No one was home. Margo sighed because of course Harry was out. She would just order Chinese and sulk.

Margo tossed her bags onto the floor and made her way into the bedroom so she could change into some silk pyjamas. With a huff she did so quickly and then flopped onto the couch. Right when she was ready to make up with Harry he had totally disregarded the reasoning for her actions and blew the whole situation off. Margo hated this banter with him. She hated always fighting and being in this one way relationship. Did Harry even consider her feelings ?

Mid way into a Gossip Girl episode Margo heard the door twist open and turned to see Harry walking in at 12:56. He looked at Margo as she stared at him. "What," he asked with a hint of annoyance in his tone. "Where were you," she asked. He had been gone for a while and didn't even bother to tell her. "I was with Grimy. We went to his place and ordered food," he replied. Margo didn't know what to say. She was so stumped.

"What. Why do you seem mad," Harry asked. Margo just stared. "I wanted to see you and talk to you but you weren't home. Which I'm not even surprised about though," she scuffed. Harry groaned. "You blew me off this morning. You didn't want to see me and now yore mad I wasn't here for you ?! You get pissed off because I don't go out with you and then I try to make it up and you get rid of me. What do you want from me Margo. What do you want," Harry almost screamed.

"I- I don't know ! I mean- I don't know how to explain it I just, I don't know," she cried confused with herself. I mean she wanted Harry to try and put in more effort but she couldn't find the words to say what she meant. Their whole relationship wasn't easy but they just had to try. She just didn't know. "Well you let me know once you figure that out Margo because I'm tired of trying to read your goddamn mind," Harry snapped trudging off to the bedroom. Margo stayed on the couch wishing Harry would come out and apologise and hold her. But he never did.
