After the game my little brother came running up to me, "You won, you won!", he shouted. I looked down at Brodie and noticed that he had dirt in his hair and mud all over his body. He had defiently been playing in the dirt again. After I was finished talking to Brodie I went over and talked to my grandma. The whole family had came from Iowa to California just to see me play. I talked to my uncle Derick about the game and my grandpa. Grandpa has been in the hospice since Christmas and was destinied to die soon. Two years ago he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and he hasn't been the same since.
We stayed at the fields talking about different things until the lights when out and we decided to go home. I loaded my things into the car and got in the front seat. Since it had been an away game we would have to drive 45 minutes to get home. I looked in the rearview mirror and laughed. We looked like we had formed our own parade with all of our crazy cars. Between uncle Rick's courvet with the flames on the side, to my cousin Nikki's motorcycle that looked like a banana.
On the ride home I texted my friends about the game. While I was talking to our pitcher, Peyton, Georgie, our first baseman texted saying we were going to have a banquit on tuesday. Yes! I couldn't wait I talked to mom about the whole ride home. Once we got home we ordered in pizza. We talked and played card games until eleven, then I was ready to hit the sack. I planned on going to the beach the next day Peyton, Georgie, and Alex, Peyton's boyfriend. I fell asleep and dreamt about the game.
