"On three." Jack started as he unlocked the doors but still kept a hand on the wheel .

I was ready to jump for all l cared .

Okay, I'd admit l was a little bit scared .

"Two." My hand opened the car door slowly.

"One."

And then l was rolling . It felt like forever as l felt my body rolling on rough land .

When l thought it wouldn't end , l finally came to a stop - a bad place to stop if you ask me and then l was hanging on a hole.

"How the...why is this...in the middle of nowhere." I glanced down in it and damn was it a long way down .

I could still  hear the sound of cars screeching. There was a large tree a few feet away from the hole and anyone in the car wouldn't even spot it . I was about to try and push myself out when l saw Jack's body rolling towards me .

"No!!!"

Before l could pull myself out , Jack's body rolled over into me and  l lost grip . A startled scream came out of my mouth as l grabbed onto Jack's legs and he now held on the opening of the hole.

"Shit." Jack muttered. "I can't hold on for long."

"Let me try to climb over y-"

"Shhh !"

I stilled at Jack's command . Shuffles of feet can be heard and then the mumbling of vices followed.

"That shit head. Where did he go to know?" The first voice said.

"They honestly couldn't have gone far could they?" A second voice said .

There was a grunt . "Well it's pretty much just land here I'm sure we could have been able to spot them."

"What must we tell the boss?"

"We will think of something..." The feet became closer and closer and my heart was hammering inside my chest. I felt the vibration of Jack's hand shaking from holding on and at this point l could only hope that he can just keep it in for a while .

When l thought the person was so close to spotting us , a voice spoke . "Come on let's go. It's getting late , he can't run that far since his car totally crashed into that light pole . I'm sure we will catch them up at that town ahead if they still alive. "

There was silence.

"Okay. Let's go."

A minute later l heard the roaring of a car and let out a breath.

"Mara be quick."

Carefully as l can, l held onto Jack's shoulders and boosted my self out and reached out a hand to Jack.

"Come on." I said through gritted teeth.

"Mara stronger !"

"I'm trying okay !!" This was more difficult than it seemed.

"The rope, l will tie it to that tree and then l will try to pull you out okay ?"

"Mara be quick !"

....

So that's how we ended here, walking on a deserted road to a town we have never been to before .

Jack stuffed his hands in his hoodie . "So what's the plan when we get there?"

I kicked on a stone. "The first thing we need is obviously a place to stay."
