"Mara."
Urgh. Whose this cruel to wake me up in my sleep. You just don't do that.
I shifted in the warm sheets and buried my face in the soft pillow.
"Mara wake up."
I groaned into the pillow. "Go away."
"You seriously need to get up right now." The urgent in Jack's voice defeated me and l eventually sat up.
"What?" I asked him. I was very aware that my sight was obviously dreadful. I'm not exactly the beauty queen when it comes to sleep and waking up.
Jack gave me a once over. "I don't know how you do it, but you sure do get prettier and prettier each day." He said in tone that made his sarcasm very known.
I leaned back on the headboard. "And l could care less."
I was about to ask him why he woke me up when l noticed the tray of food in the middle of the room. It was like a whole buffet breakfast. At the sight, my stomach grumbled and l realised l actually didn't eat anything yesterday. Nothing new anyway.
"How did you get that?" I asked climbing out of the bed and pulled a chair closer to the food.
"Mara, do l have to remind you each and everytime that l'm a ladys man?"
Jack paddled to the table and took a seat as well. He poured himself some orange juice and gestured if l wanted some and l held up a glass so that he can pour it in.
"Thanks." I said taking a sip and grabbing myself some bacon and eggs.
"So," he began stuffing his mouth with a fruit salad. "Its six am now-"
I choked on my bread. "You woke me up at six in the morning? For what?" I asked literally offended by the amount of sleep l got.
He rolled his eyes. He does that quite a lot.
"Geez women let me finish my sentence."
I held up my hands. "Yes sir."
He tried to hide a small smile but he couldn't resist. This made me chuckle.
"As l was saying, we need to get out here before seven. Beth said that there's a few people that made reservations for a few rooms so we need to leave before her boss finds out about us because we didn't exactly check in."
"Whose Beth?"
Jack sighed. "Keep up Mara. She's the reception girl."
"Oh." Ofcourse. Beth. "The name suits her." I commented eating some of the strawberries on the table.
Jack raised an eyebrow. "Huh."
"The reception girl, Beth. I think her name suits her." I said again.
He took a sip of his juice. "How so?"
I shrugged. "Well from what l saw yesterday, she's brunette. She's beautiful and her green eyes really are pretty. Beth suits her look especially the fact that she's brunette. Usually most of the Beth's l know, are mostly brunettes." I explained.
"Ytour weird." Jack finally said.
"How am l even weird?"
"Dunno. Aren't you supposed to be jealous or something?"
This stopped my hand that was reaching for another strawberry. "Jealous of what?"
"Beth."
I raised an eyebrow.
