This is dedicated to jasmin28 for making a cover for this and Hanging with Boys. Thanks so much! This is dedicated to Coco-Cupcake also for making my cover for Boarding with Boys

What’s Going On?

Kaden’s POV

“What do you think is going on?” Ezra asked. We were in his room.

“With what?” I asked, even though I knew what he was talking about. I was just trying to pay attention to the game, and trying not to get beaten by Johnny. Again.

“The girls,” he said exasperatedly. Just last week, they were fine and dandy.”

“Maybe they forgot about the competition until just now,” Chandler offered. He seemed a bit down. Ever since he broke up with Lexie yesterday, he’s been a mess. It was his fault. No one asked him to break up with her.

“Why would they suddenly remember it? I mean, they seemed pretty upset about something,” Ezra said.

“Who cares?” I said, not really paying.

“I’m just bugged. This wasn’t part of the plan,” Ezra said.

“Maybe they’re onto something,” Mason said.

“Just shut up,” I said, frustrated that I couldn’t concentrate when Johnny seemed so at ease. He even had a wide ass grin on his face. He’s think he won, but he better think again!

“Jeez, calm down Kay, you might snap a brain cell,” Johnny said jokingly.

“Shut up,” I hissed. I was so close to winning!

I’m almost there and…

“Cookies?”

NO!

“Ha, I win,” Johnny said. Once again, he beat me at this Madden football game we were playing. Lame, yeah? You’d think we’d be playing that war game shooting shit.

“Mom, we don’t want cookies,” Ezra said, rolling his eyes.

“But they’re absolutely delish,” she said, smiling.

“I’ll have some, Mrs. Thompson,” I said. She smiled sweetly at me.

“Why can’t you be more like Kaden here, Ez?” Mrs. Thompson asked. I smiled and helped myself to one of her chocolate cookies.

Mom, leave,” Ezra said. Mrs. Thompson sighed and left her plate of cookies on his bed. Right as she left, all the other guys flocked to it and finished the plate. I rolled my eyes.

“So what are we talking about?” I asked.

“What’s going on?” Ezra asked. “Did any of you guys spill the beans about our plan and upset them?”

All of us shook our heads.

“So what do you think happened?” Johnny asked, stuffing his mouth with 3 cookies.

“Cookie monster,” I muttered. He smiled at me, showing his chocolate stained teeth.

“So what are we going to do?” Mason asked. “Act nice like before?”

“No way, I say we stop with this plan and just fire with all we’ve got,” Ezra said.

“Yeah, I agree,” Johnny said, nodding his head like a maniac. Alright, so I’m still a bit bitter from my defeat.

“No, we have to still play nice,” Chandler said.

Johnny shook his head. “No way man. You just want to try and get back your girl,” he said.

“Don’t you want to get back yours?” Chandler said. Johnny shrugged.

“She’s not mine to begin with. I don’t care. Bros before hoes, dude,” Johnny said. “We’ve got to win this.” He looked a lot determined about this.

“I agree,” I said.

“Then it’s settled, we kick butt,” Johnny said.

“Correction,” I said. “We kick ass.”
