Competing with the Boys 9

You be my Prince Charming and I'll be your Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty...

Kirsten's POV

Today me and Mason were hanging out. I was pretty excited for that fact. I was even more happy that he was the one that invited me on this outing. I think we were just going to watch a movie and have lunch or something, but I was still pretty excited. During the last few days and weeks we've been competing with the boys, I got really close to Mason. He's a really cool guy and it appears I'm not the only one that has been getting closer with the enemy. Malika has claimed my brother and her went out on a date last week. It was all sweet and he didn't try anything on her.

It's completely weird how the boys are acting. They're all sweet and have been asking the girls out on dates and we've been getting a lot closer. Somewhere deep down, I feel like something is up, but I push away the thought, happy to be seeing Mason.

"Hey, you ready?"

I was pulled from my thoughts when Mason's voice brought me back to reality. I looked up at him and smiled, nodding.

"Cool, let's go," he said.

"What are we going to see?" I asked. He shrugged.

"Anything you want," he said. Aw, so cute!

"I want to see Easy A!" I exclaimed. He laughed, a sound I've grown so accustomed to. I smiled and blushed a bit.

We arrived at the movies and he paid, even though I insisted I pay for myself. I even told him I'd pay for the popcorn but he refused. He was such a gentlemen!

"Hey, I hope you don't mind. I only got one drink," he said. I smiled. He wanted to share!

"It's fine," I said nonchalantly. I don't think I've ever really felt this about a boy so this was all completely new to me.

"Come on, in the back," he said. He pulled me along and we sat all the way in the back.

The movie played and I felt him scoot a bit closer to me. I smiled. I leaned into him and put my head on his shoulder, his arm wrapping around me, pulling me closer. I could smell the sweet masculine smell of him and it seriously got addicting to smell.

Who knew Mason was such a sweetheart?

After the movies, we walked out to the parking lot. On the way out, some kid running rushed into me and made me twist my ankle.

"Ow," I screeched as pain surged through me. Quickly, Mason bent down with a look of concern.

"You okay?" he asked. I bit my lip and nodded slowly. I tried to get up and limped slowly towards the car. Suddenly, I was picked up and carried on Mason's back. I blushed furiously. I must be heavy for him.

He reached the car and sat me down slowly. He smiled at me and strapped me in.

"You sure you okay?" he asked. "Do you want some ice?" I laughed as he offered the drink with ice inside. I shook my head.

"I'll be fine. It's just a little spranged," I said. He nodded.

"Will you be able to go and eat?" he asked. I nodded quickly. He chuckled and drove to a pizza place.

"Half cheese and half with green olives, pepperoni, and bacon," he ordered once he helped me inside.

"You hate olives," I said. I found this out last week when we were telling each other random facts.

"I know but you love them," he said. I smiled. He remember my favorite toppings.

"So you're a cheese topping only kind of guy?" I asked. He shrugged.

"Yeah, it's simple and delicious," he said.

"Olives are good," I said.

"They're nasty," he said. I frowned but didn't say anymore.

The pizza came and then dug in. I had 3 slices of pizza and he finished his whole half.

"You know what I like about you, Kirsten?" he asked. The question made me freeze in shock. I looked at him and he was staring back at me intently.

"What?" I squeaked. He smiled.

"You're an eater yet you're still beautiful," he complimented. I felt myself blush like crazy.

"Thanks," I murmured. He laughed.

"Now it's your turn," he said. I smiled.

"I like how you're not what I expected," I said. He nodded.

"I like that you realize that," he said. Suddenly, he picked up an olive and stuck it in his mouth. He chewed it slowly and then swallowed.

"Hm, it's not that bad anymore," he said thoughtfully but then made a face. "But it's still pretty nasty." I laughed.

It was perfect. He was perfect. And just like that, I was picturing Mason as my prince charming and I his Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or any of those Disney princesses.
