Chapter One

Shinsou's P.O.V

With every step the pain shot through my body running down the docks hearing the footsteps and shouts coming from behind me. I was panting running down the docks my leg almost useless because it was injured.

"SHINSOU!!! GET BACK HERE!" I heard Uraraka scream out angrily from behind. My heart started pumping faster adrenaline shooting through me making me ignore the pain in my leg going faster. Sweat dripped down my face as I frantically looked for a place to hide pushing through the crowd of people on the docks.

"SHINSOU STOP! CAPTAIN TOLD ME TO BRING YOU BACK! GET BACK HERE!" I heard Uraraka yell again not far behind. I looked up and seen a huge crowd of people around a huge pirate ship. I slipped into the crowd finding an open crate sitting on its side. I looked around making sure Uraraka cant see me and I slipped into the crate quickly closing it off hoping I was safe. I peeked through a crack in the side of the crate seeing Uraraka and the other half of the crew look around angrily in the crowd. Uraraka slammed her sword down in the dust clearly pissed she didn't catch me. I watched as she left waving the rest of the crew with her. I let out a sigh of relief leaning against the back of the crate closing my eyes catching my breath but immediately feeling the pain shoot up my leg letting out a moan of pain but immediately covering my mouth making sure no one could hear me. I was sitting when all of the sudden the crate jerked up lifting upward. I moved around trying to see what was going on no longer calm. I felt the crate land on something hard shaking the whole thing, I sat there for a moment suddenly getting really tired trying to keep my eyes open.

"Oi! The clothes just got on the ship! Want me to unload it Captain!" I heard a male yell out close to the crate I was in. I sleepily looked at the side of the crate seeing a shadow next to it.

"Go ahead Kami! Make sure to put it in the sleeping bunks downstairs!" Another male yelled back. I tried to keep my eyes open looking at the side of the crate watching as a crowbar is shoved into the side of the crate pulling off the side blinding him with sunlight.

"Oh god! Iida! Get down here now!" A blonde boy who just pulled open the side of the crate.

"Hey are you alright?" I felt a gentle hand touch me as I tried to keep my eyes open.

"S-shot me, help..." I said only managing half my sentence.

"Oh god..." He mumbled. "IIDA GET DOWN HERE NOW!"

"God Kami! I was busy! What are yo- who is he?!?" A blue headed male with glasses said coming up.

"He said he was shot but I dont know where!" He looked back down at me as the other guy came over beside him.

"His leg and the clothes underneath! Oh no hes lost a lot of blood. We need to get him help now-" The guy with glasses said but his voice became muffled as I closed my eyes.

"So tired....." I managed before I closed my eyes and fell into a restless sleep.

My eyes flew open and I immediately sat up and looked around frantically and was met with the same blonde from earlier.

"Hey, calm down I won't hurt you." He said in a calm voice. "You've been asleep for at least a week, you lost a lot of blood" I looked at him grabbing the sheet and squeezing it still scared.

"Oh! Sorry I'm Denki Kaminari but you can just call me Kami! I'm the one that found you in the crate!" He said smiling brightly.

"H-hi I'm H-hitoshi S-Shinsou..." I said scared he would send me back. I looked up at him with pleading eyes. "P-please dont send me back..."

He looked at me confused. "What are ya talking about? I'm pretty sure you're a part of our crew now! Captain is pretty fond of you too even though you were just sleeping...but ya know!" He said smiling again. I can tell hes a bubbly person. "Oh yeah! Iida! Hes awake!" He turned and yelled.

"Oh yeah Iida is the Captain's second in command everyone knows to listen to him or else he'll start rambling about how we should listen, kinda annoying." He said looking at me happily as I looked back confused seeing the other boy walk in.

"Is that so Kami?" He said raising an eyebrow. He pressed up his glasses and continued. "I informed the captain that you've awoken he'll be down in a moment and you were extremely lucky Kami found you because a little longer in that crate you would've died. And sorry for being rude I'm Tenya Iida but most people call me Iida." He finished looking at me smiling slightly.

"Ya know speaking of the crate how'd you get in there?" Kami said looking at me confused with a finger on his chin.

"S-sorry it was o-open and I hid in there..." I said in a soft voice. Iida looked at me concerned.

"Why did you hide in the first place?" He said furrowing his brows.

"He got shot by someone Iida! Maybe he was hiding from them, weren't you?" Kami asked me. I nodded my head looking down.

"Dont send me back please." I said looking down.

"I believe the Captain has made you part of the crew already." Iida said pressing up his glasses. "So as long as we're here you're staying with us.... What's your name?" Iida finished.

"His names Hitoshi Shinsou! He told me earlier!" Kami said really bubbly.

Iida sighs at Kami interrupting.

"Its a pleasure to meet you Shinsou." Iida said with a smile when another tall man enters the room.

"So hes awake?" He said in a calm voice that sounded really soothing unlike his voice. I visibly shivered shaking off the thought. I looked up and met eyes with a tall Male with half white and half red hair with a burn scar covering his left eye.

"Heya Captain! The dudes name is Hitoshi Shinsou! Please let him join us! I like him!" Kami said really cheerfully the pouting at the end. So that's the Captain. I thought.

"I was going to let him stay anyway Kami. Only if he dosen't want to he can leave at the next dock." The Captain said walking over and sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"YES!" Kami celebrated but then looked at me. "Will you stay?"

I looked up at him meeting his eyes looking worried.

"Will you hurt me?" I asked hesitantly. The Captain looked shocked I even said that.

"If anyone on this ship hurt another crew member they are immediately thrown off." Said the captain with dark eyes scaring me a bit.

"O-okay then I can stay..." I said looking down.

"YES! WHOO! I cannot wait to show you the ship Shin! Wait.. I can call you Shin right?" Kami said excitedly.

"Y-yeah you can." I said softly.

"Shoto Todoroki." I heard the Captain say. I looked up met with a hand for a handshake and I carefully took his callused hands and shook it. He stood up and brushed down his shirt making sure his sword was still adjusted correctly. I looked at him hesitantly wondering if I made the right choice as he looked back at me.

"Welcome to the crew Shinsou."
