Poems are like silent songs
As books are made into films, poems are made into songs.
I personally think movies that are based on books are always less good than the book and I don't want to say that music is less good than poems, for I love music. But I just came to think of it that you can kind of compare how books and films are to how poems and music are.
In books you imagine the places the book describes, where in movies you can't fantasise about that because it is already shown to you.
Maybe it is the same with poems.
In poems you have to imagine the melody, while in songs it is already given.
I write my poems with a rhythm in my head, a melody. But everyone who reads one of my poems, might choose a completely different tune.
