Nevada
Looking at dad I frown slightly. It was ridiculous. The reason her decided to ground me because he had a feeling about something happening soon l. "I just wanna keep you safe baby." I look at my dad my expression becoming softer. He has a point. It was only the two of us here. Mom no longer being here with us because they had broke up. I bite my lip nervously before sighing giving into his facade. He was all I had after all. "Okay. But you know don't have to ground me you know." He turns around looking at me before smiling. "I guess you're right. I just did that to make sure." I chuckle before embracing him from behind. He chuckles loudly before hugging hard. We burst out into a fit of laughter before we let go. "I promise to stay close to the house okay but I can't stay locked up forever." He nods and I walk away to the living room.
Dad was my life and I didn't need no mom. After all I've been mom-less for thirteen years (I'm sixteen now). I look towards dad's general direction before sighing. "Wanna still have movie night?" He stops chopping veggies before answering "Ya." With that I sit down on the velvety couch. Grabbing the remote I turn to a channel that wasn't very interesting. I pull out my phone before laying back on the couch. It was pretty boring on weekends were dad cooks and goes to work and well I have no school.
The couch dips slightly before dad taps my thigh. "Wanna play a game kiddo?"I look at him before tilting my head. Dad was pretty old school regardless of him only being twenty-nine and a half. I sigh and put down my phone, "Eleberate." He chuckles before bending down and pulling out a xbox one controller. "Well I was planning on playing a one person shooter game and making bets." I look at him gawking slightly. "Your on."
I throw the controller on the couch as dad walks into the kitchen laughing loudly. "Guess you have to clean the kitchen for 3 weeks." I scowe at home before blowing out my cheeks. "You clearly cheated on half of those rounds and it wasn't even fair. Half of the cheating was so obvious!" I throw my hands infront of me to show how distraught I was. Dad only chuckles before walking back with some bowls of chilli. I smile and take my bowl before grabbing the crackers. "Sounds like someone is being a sore loser. How 'bout when I come home from work tomorrow then we can rematch hmm?" I glance at him from the corner of my eye before swollowing my food, "Sure. I guess you wanna see this girl come back with the most AMAZING come back." He chuckles before rifling up my short hair. "Ya we'll see.
We finish our food with peaceful silence floating in between us before I grab our dishes and dumb them in the sink. Wind blowed harshly through the open window and I shiver. It was winter and I have no idea why dad open the window. I shut it while locking it behind me. "Why you open the window. It's that cold outside." "I didn't open it maybe the wind did." He yells back and I look back out at the darkening sky and frown. "The wind?" I question and I get a small 'I dunno' from dad.
Shaking my head I push any bad thoughts from my head before starting on the dishes. Once I was done I cut off the living room tv and head up to my room. "Night sweetie." "Night dad." I walk in my room and fall onto my bed. The dark blue sheets crinkled up as I fidgeted around on the matress. Yawning softly I crawl under the blankets and close my eyes.
I jolt awake to something stading into my arm. Something immediately slaps over my mouth and I become drousy. I fight against my handlers before giving up tears in my eyes. Looking across the room to see dad being dragged by two men. Tears fall against my pale cheeks and I call out to him. "Dad.." I call one last time before descending into a deep sleep.
