Chapter 24 : The News

"Where are they? Where are they?" I questioned myself for the millionth time.  It's been ten minutes and the guys wasn't here.

I was about to get from my seat when I heard the elevator door opened then the heavy footsteps of running approaching me. I looked up and saw Jacob following by Justin and Trent.

"Where is she?" Jacob asked panicking.

"Who was it?" Trent asked then Justin sat next to me.

"What happened?" He asked, I pulled out the paper from my bra and handed it to him while I explained.

"I-it just c-came out of nowhere and h-hit Katherine," tears began to burgeoning from my eyes. Trent read the paper with Justin. Justin read it twice then looked at me.

"He's after our family," he turned his gaze to Jacob, who was waiting at the door impatiently. "This person is insane," he looked at me.

The doctor walked from the room and we stood.

"Good night I am doctor Ferguson and I supposed you are all Katherine's family?" We nodded. "Okay. Katherine got a broken arm, ribs, and broken leg from the accident. Her head got a pretty bad hit that caused her to have a concussion and the sad part is she might lose her memories don't worry though, she will slowly get them back if she does. She also has a sprained neck and some pretty bad buries and may have to stay in the hospital for a couple of days for a better heal," the doctor looked all of us in the eyes, "she almost had to go in a coma but luckily she didn't," then he went back inside after patting Jacob's shoulder. He was so drained and anxious.

I wasn't different either, this news was good to hear but I wanted a better news.

"A c-coma," Jacob stuttered turning to us, "I am going to kill that fucking unknown!" He grabbed the paper from Justin's hand and read it, "and he's going to pay for all of this," he slowly sat on the vacant seat next to Justin and Trent.

"Don't worry Jacob we will make sure of that," Justin assured him.

The sound of the elevator door opened and the sound of running was heard. We all turned and saw Meloni and mom running towards us.

"Honey," mom ran and engulfed me in a hug. "What happened? Is she alright? Did you get hurt? What ha-"

"Mom, I am fine and Katherine is in the operation room she's going to be alright," mom nodded and went over to Jacob and hugged him tightly telling him that everything was going to be alright.

Meloni slowly walked towards me with a sigh and hugged me.

Three hours later

"I see that more guests have arrived," The doctor said with a smile, "Katherine is done with and is now inside but still unconscious, however, you still can visit her," he turned to leave and Jacob stopped him.

"When will she be awake?" He asked.

"She will wake by morning."

"Doctor, will she have her memory?" I asked.

"She might. But, if she does lose them she will slowly get them back. The more she rest's the faster they regain. Have a good night y'all," he turned and walked away.

With that, I took a deep and long sigh turning to look at my family who looked relieved but anxious at the same time.

Katherine was going to be alright and that's all that matters. Only the unknown needs to be found.

An arm made its way around my waist and a whisper was followed, "Stop looking out in space, and let's go inside to see Katherine," I looked up at Justin then back at my family, who was walking inside.
