Chapter 13

Katie's POV

"Riley! You got sand in my bikini." I laugh while picking her up and dunking her in the water. She comes back up laughing,"Haha, sorry mommy."

All of the sudden I hear someone coming up from beside me, I turn around and stare into the golden brown beautiful eyes of my daughters father. My mate. His eyes widen just as mine,"Holy fuck,Katie?" He asked in shock. My mouth was still hanging open. Wow, that's attractive.

" Yes."Is all I mange to choke out. " OH my god, how are you? Shit, I'm so sorr-, I'm sorry I shouldn't cuss in front of the child. Wait, you had a kid?" He throws out all of these questions.

Kid. YES! U fuck stick I had a kid! Our kid! I want to scream at him but mange to say," It's alright, with me around the house she's used to the cussing. And,umm, yes She is mine." I say the last part slightly lower than the rest of the tone I used. " Oh, um ok." He replied looking sheerly disappointed.

"Mommy, is this daddy? You look like the picture she showed me." Riley suddenly speaks up. Shit. " Riley go sit down on the mat and eat her sandwich." I tell her trying to get her away from him as possible. Her face drops. " But mommy! I wanna stay and talk to him." She doesn't stop until she gets her way.

" Fine, but you will have to talk with him later, young lady. Now go now!" I yell a little too loud. She starts to cry. Damn it, that's the one thing I hate seeing her do. It pains me to see her crying. She starts to run back to the chairs where we set up. I chase after her quickly catching up because of my werewolf abilities. I embrace her and sooth her tears. " I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to upset you, it's just that man hurt me before and I dont want you to even get close to all of that. I hate seeing you upset or hurt. You know that I love you more than anything in the world." I calmly and quietly whisper to her. I hear a coughing sound coming from behind me.

I turn around and see him staring. Damn, werewolf abilities. "Katherine, I am so sorry." He speaks up. I stand up," Well it's um...this is unexpected" I Studdard.

"Katie, I know I've screwed up. Big time. But even after almost 7 years I'm still in love with you, if not more." He tells me while I shuffle my feet not looking straight into his eyes. I see hurt, regret,lust, and love. What do I do?! It's not so simple. I have Riley now, and I do not want to see her get hurt when he decides when the go gets tough he leaves.

"I..um..I need to think." I reply picking up Riley. "Okay, take all the time you need. I will wait for you." Stewarts says reminding me of 'our song' I Will Wait by Mumford and Sons. We stayed up dancing in the park all night too it. I smile and so does he. " I didn't think you would remember it." He speaks up after what I realize must have been minutes.

"Of course I remember. Here, give me your number so I'll call you and decide what to do." I instruct and he does so. " How long are you staying here?" He asks.

"Actually tomorrow we're leaving." I say almost regretting it seeing the emotion of pain in his eyes.

" Where do you live? Um, I'm sorry I don't mean to pr-" before he said anything else I cut him off. " It's fine, I live in a small down on the outskirts of Eureka Montana. It's called Waymark."

"How the hell did you end up there?"he said chuckling. I start too.

"Well um the day I..um..left...I just ran and ran."

"So, you got pregnant too? How-" I cut him off again. I didn't want to explain to him right now. I just want to catch up a little. Talking only.

" I was stupid and naive. But, I wouldn't change a damn thing."

" I can see. Well, you seem like a very good mother and this little beauty takes after you very much. She's beautiful." He replies while looking at Riley who is glued to my hip. She loosens up and speaks,"Why thank you very much, but momma says I take after my daddy in a lot of ways, like his bitchiness." Oh god, Riley.

Stewarts eyes widen. " Well, then. Katie, she sure does have a vocabulary."

I grin big,"now that she gets from her mamma."

We all start to laugh.

Somehow, Someway I think me and Stewart will be okay. Friend wise. As for right now anyway.
