"Who are you?" Maxwell asked. He wasn't pleased to have to deal with a teen randomly wandering into his area. The guy also looked as if he'd had the nerve to sleep here as well...!
"I...I was...uhh..." The boy was scared. A quite rightly too. He probably hadn't realised what he'd be dealing with.
"Hurry up." He commanded.
"I...umm...I don't..."
"Honestly. Someone might think you'd see a ghost. Oh, wait." He grinned and raised his arm for effect. Some of the green mist circulated around his hand. It was only mist, of course. He didn't play with real magic unless he was going to kill someone.
He realised that he should probably be more annoyed at this guy, but something stopped him from killing him. He didn't know what it was, but he knew not to ignore his instincts. They were usually right.
"I don't know...where am I?"
That surprised Maxwell a bit. Shouldn't he want to know who he was first. He knew how people thought. That should have been his first reaction, especially as he'd traveled here in the first place. But maybe it would be his second...
"The name of this place doesn't matter. It is a realm between dimensions. None can usually come here, but you have managed. May I ask how?"
"I...I don't know."
"Don't know much, do you?"
The boy looked around the place. It was evident that he had no idea where he was or how and why he was there.
"I don't really..." He also seemed quite afraid. Couldn't blame him though, he'd just met a strange guy surrounded by green mist who'd come out of the gloom.
"Want a hand?" Maxwell flicked his wrist and the boy was lifted quickly into the air and put back on his feet.
"Uhh..." The boy was at a loss for words, "Thanks."
"What's your name?"
"Isaac."
"Last name?"
"Should I tell you?"
"Not if you don't want to."
"Are you..." The boy, Isaac, hesitated, "Are you Maxwell Acachalla?" He sounded unsure, as if he didn't quite believe what he was saying.
"Yes."
"Really? But...but...!"
"Yes?"
"Uhh...nothing."
Maxwell nodded. He had no desire to know what this kid had to say about him, "You know, if you're going to stand there all night, you're quite welcome."
Isaac frowned, "Where am I?"
He shrugged, "That is difficult to explain. Nowhere you've been before, obviously."
The teen nodded, "But where?"
"Well...it's not anywhere really." He waved his hand and an armchair along with a wooden stool appeared. He gestured to the stool, "Sit. We can have a full on discussion. Do you want a soda?"
