Chapter 24 - Reconcile
"It is easy to jump to assumptions and be blind to a helpless lie fed to you; that's okay. As long as you try to make up with those who you have wronged, everything will become clear because you've just gained back a lost friendship"

The very next day, 7 am; Juvia woke up on the floor for a reason unknown to even her. But, she guessed she might've rolled off of her noisy bed in the hours of her restless sleep.

She was on the floor with her hoodie still on, hair in a mess per usual, and phone all the way across the room. And, from the ice-cold, hard ground, Juvia could still hear the music she left on, playing in the generic white earbuds she had which were thrown about her prison-like bedroom.

She sat up and stretched out her cramped bones, letting her need to sleep drift away like a boat in the ocean. Juvia had stayed up basically all night listening to her sad songs while crying her unshedded tears out uncontrollably. The last time she checked her clock was about 3 in the morning, so it was safe to say she had fallen asleep only a half an hour after that, leaving her with a total of four hours of sleep--four hours less than the needed time to rest her body. But, whatever. Her mental health was too cracked, she just couldn't care about sleep schedules.

Shakily, Juvia got up from the floor, standing to her feet as she looked over to the peeking sun coming from her window. The sun was so luminous that it brought a warm, comforting feeling into Juvia's tearing heart, and that made her feel the slightest bit of happiness for once--but, the feeling didn't change her expression at all. Her mouth remained in the thin line on her face and her eyes were staying unamused, staring deadly at the light coming from behind her purple curtain.

For the past couple of days, the girl had been struggling beyond belief. With what happened on Monday at lunch, getting slapped by her best friend, and being quiet all of Tuesday, her heart had been throbbing with the thick cloud of dull pain and the little mix of depression fogging up her brain. She was hurting, and the pain had caught up to her the night before; thus, she cried. All night long.

With a quick head turn, Juvia looked over to the digital clock sitting on her bedside table. The time read 7:05 am, which left her only a half an hour to get to school.

From the night before, Juvia grabbed her phone and earbuds which continued playing music, popping the small pieces into each ear so she could listen to her playlist while she got ready.
Right when she put the music devices in and drowned the sound out of the rest of the world, the song previously playing switched to one of Juvia's personal favorites--Prom Dress, by mxmtoon.

Juvia absolutely loved this song, all because of the similarities she had with it. Most of the lyrics she could relate to, especially in this time of her life.

'I'm nearing the end of my fourth year... I feel like I've been lacking, crying too many tears... Everyone seemed to say it was so great, but did I miss out? Was it a huge mistake...?'
