When I first met you: Rainbow Dash x Female Reader

5: A few months after

It's been a few months since I've moved to Ponyville, and it's also been a few months since I met Rainbow Dash. I still remember the first "date" we had. Dash and I still go on "dates" a lot, but I'm not entirely sure if they ARE dates. I fall for her even more as the days go by, but I haven't told her yet.

The other 5 have been encouraging me to tell her, but I'm just not confident enough to confess. I'm confident in other things, like sports and flying, but love? Not at all! I've never been in love before, nor has somepony ever been in love with me. I have no experience.

But you know it's love when you know it's love, right? Dash and I have become really good friends, but that's what I'm worried about. That she'll just see me as a friend! But she did kiss me on the cheek once, but that doesn't mean anything? Does it? She just asks me to hang out, and I ask her the same, but that doesn't mean it's a date!

She only ever said it was a date the first time, but the ones after that were just hanging out with each other. I have to tell her soon, don't I? I mean she's shown interest in me at least once or twice, but it doesn't mean she can reciprocate my feelings for her. Right now, I'm just sitting on the bench where we sat on for our first date.

As I was thinking, somepony came up to me. "Midnight, darling! Why do you look nervous?" Rarity said. "Oh! Hey Rare, do you mind sitting next to me?" I asked her. She shook her head and sat down. "What's wrong? Have you told Rainbow yet?" She looked at me, worried. "That's the thing Rarity. I haven't, and when I finally have the guts to, she'd reject me." And then I started tearing up.

Rarity took her hoof and wiped the tears that fell from my eyes. "Nonsense. Rainbow enjoys being around you. Her smile is so much wider when you two are together." And then she smiled at me. I smiled back and thought, 'Maybe I do have a chance.' I'm planning to tell her later, and I'm going to need a little help. "Hey, Rare?" I said. "Hm?" She replied. "I need some help."

Rainbow Dash P.O.V.

Okay, I've got to admit, I have a HUGE crush on Midnight. I want to tell her, but she might reject me. No Dash, you're confident. Believe in yourself. *breathing in & out* I'll tell her tonight. It's not difficult, I just need to have enough courage to face her. How do I tell her? Should I ask her to hang out and then tell her?

While talking to myself, somepony knocked on my door. "Dash? Are you home?" I heard a familiar voice. Midnight. I took a deep breath and then I opened the door. "Hey, Star," I said in a cool voice. I had to act natural, definitely not planning anything. Heh.

"Want to hang out later? I know the perfect place!" She asked me. I smiled and agreed. She hugged me and then waved goodbye. Damn, I was supposed to ask her that first.

Midnight P.O.V.

I flew back down and looked at the 5 ponies. "Let's do this."
