"Eun Chan!" Sunki called.

"What?!" responded Eun Chan.

"I need help! Will you talk to Zoie for me? Ask her what she meant by another destructive relationship. Ask her to talk to me once. Ask her to meet me in the park where we watched the stars. I'll wait there every night after work until she comes," instructed Sunki.

"Fine, but I promise that I'll end you if you hurt her again," swore Eun Chan. She set plans to hang out with Zoie for the next day. They were playing video games in Zoie's apartment.

"So, you're really done with Sunki?" Eun Chan questioned.

"Yep," stated Zoie.

"Why?" Eun Chan wondered aloud.

"He smacked me," notified Zoie.

"He said he wouldn't do it again," reminded Eun Chan.

"I know. Look, I've been down that road once. I can't do it anymore," justified Zoie.

"What do you mean by that?" interviewed Eun Chan.

"It's a long story," avoided Zoie. Eun Chan raised an eyebrow. Zoie signed.

"I was in an abusive relationship when I was fifteen. The guy slapped me during our first argument. Like Sunki, he swore he'd give it up. The few months after that, I was hit at least once a day.
"The last week we were together was the worst. He pushed me down the stairs. He broke a lot of my bones. He beat me within an inch of my life. I was so banged up I could barely move. All because I believed he wouldn't do it again," explained Zoie as she cried. She showed some of her scars to Eun Chan.

"Oh my! I'm so sorry!" gasped Eun Chan. A few minutes later, her phone started ringing.

"Excuse me for a second," she dismissed. She answered her phone as she walked down the stairs into the shop below.

"What?" she asked.

"Did you talk to her? What'd she say?" Sunki investigated.

"I don't know if she should take you back. Sunki, she's been hurt a lot. I got her to talk about the other relationship. It was horrible. I don't think I can be the one to convince her to do it again," explained Eun Chan.

"I love her so much! Please! Tell her that I'll wait at the park for her. I refuse to give up on her!" argued Sunki.

"Alright! Bye!" snapped Eun Chan. She returned to Zoie.

"Sorry about that. As I was saying, I really do think Sunki means it. He said that he'll wait for you in the park where you watched the stars. He told me he'd wait for you everyday after work and that he just needs to meet with you once. If you do, I think he'll leave you alone," she advocated.

"I'll think about it," complied Zoie.

The two of them chatted for a few more hours. Zoie went to bed right after Eun Chan left. She wept until she finally fell asleep. The next day, she worked her shift at Butterfly House with a fake smile.
