"Wait...what?!" Courtney yelled. I quickly put my hand over her mouth to stop her from talking. "Shut up, Court. You're going to draw attention to us." Courtney smiled. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?!" I roll my eyes—slightly annoyed by her questions already.

"Because it was like—two days ago when I found out." "We have to tell the others." Courtney was about to run out the bathroom stall, but I quickly stopped her. "No. No—we can't." I say, my lip going back between my teeth.

"No, Ariana. We have too." I shake my head. "They're going to freak out and ask all these questions that I don't want to answer. No." I nervously demand, rubbing the back of my hand.

"We at least have to tell Liz." I nod in confirmation. "But at the end of the day. We're already late for class." I look at the clock plastered on the ghost grey wall. Me and Courtney look at each other before grabbing our things and giggling all the way to our 5th period.

"And why are we here?" Elizabeth asked, her eyes wondering around the woods that's surrounding us. "Because Ariana has a secret." Courtney reassuringly smiled at me. "And we couldn't have done this inside—where it's less cold? I mean, there's seriously no one here, and there's probably no one inside as well."

"Court, I agree. Going into the woods is a little bit...weird." Courtney rolled her eyes. "It's not. You know why?" Elizabeth and I shake our heads in confusion, "why?" We ask since it was obvious that Courtney was waiting for a 'why'. "Because once Elizabeth hears your secret—she's going to scream at the top of her lungs."

"You have a secret Ariana? And you didn't tell me first?" Elizabeth looks at me with betrayal lingering in her eyes. "Courtney peer pressured me." I say, pointing at Courtney. "What?! No I didn't-"

"Just tell me the fucking secret!" Elizabeth yelled. "Ariana is getting married to Y/n this summer! There—you happy?" I look at Courtney with hate. "That was my secret to tell. I never gave you permission to tell my secret!"

I roll my eyes and go to face Elizabeth—only to see she wasn't there. "Look what you did Courtney." I say, looking back at Courtney. She sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "You're such a kid, Ariana. I'm going home."

"Everything okay, Ariana?" I shrug and continue stabbing the broccoli with my silverware. "Can you please stop stabbing the poor piece of broccoli and talk about your day?" My mom asked.

"My day was great," I say sarcastically. "I told Courtney about my marriage—then she had the audacity to tell Elizabeth—then we got into a small fight and Elizabeth left and now I don't even know if me and Courtney are friends anymore. Yeah. I had a great—no, fantastic day mom. Thank you for asking."

I get up from my place on my seat and throw my dish in the sink. I walk to my room and lay down on my bed—tiredness overcoming me and soon enough, I felt my eyes closing and from there I drifted off to sleep.

"Y/n, you have to talk to me. How am I going to get a reaction out of you if I can't hear you—hmm?" Y/n and I are on our first date, and I am desperate to get at least three words out of her. I don't even care if it's a sentence saying; 'let's have sex' I just want something.

My actions told everyone that I was desperate. I was on one knee, holding both of Y/n's hands, begging for her to talk. I needed something out of her. "What if I tickle you? Would you say stop?" I say—starting to tickle her.

Cute giggles escaped her mouth. I smile and tickle her a little harder. "Let's see...where's your ticklish spot?" I tickle her behind her ear which makes her yell a cute "stop!"

Y/n immediately stopped laughing and looked at me with tears in her eyes, covering her mouth. "Hey..hey—why are you about to cry?" I ask, trying to pry her hand off her mouth. For someone so small and cute, she had a strong grip.

"Y/n...you have the most adorable voice ever. Why are you so scared to show it?" I ask, looking her in the eyes. Y/n shakes her head and looks away from me. I frown and put a finger under her chin—leading her face back to mine.

"I don't care if you don't talk to others...but you have to talk to me. We're getting married this summer and not being able to hear the most adorable voice on Earth is going to drive me fucking insane. So please, please—please...talk to me." I plead.

I wipe a tear that came down Y/n's fragile cheek. She nods while smiling and leaped into my arms.

It wasn't three words—but it was one word. I guess that's a good start.
