I wait by the window of the cabin and sigh. It was snowing and Y/n was out there somewhere—it was starting to worry me—where was my wife?

"Ariana, you shouldn't worry too much—I'm pretty sure Y/n is fine and is just exploring the woods for a bit. We're not in 'Little Red Riding Hood'." Courtney said from behind me. I shrugged my shoulders; "you never know, Court. She could be getting killed- COURTNEY, WHAT IF SHE'S GETTING KILLED?!"

"I'm pretty sure she's not getting killed, Ari. Just chill out...take deep breaths, okay?" I nodded and took deep breaths in and out, trying to calm my nerves as I look out the window waiting for my wife.

* * *

It was around 8 o'clock pm when the door opened then closed. I looked at the person who came inside and to my surprise, it was Y/n.

"There you are! It's been awhile." I say sarcastically while getting up from the window seat I was previously sitting on.

"Sorry about my late arrival, Ariana. I got carried away by a bunny rabbit. It was white and fluffy. I named it Snowy because it reminded me of the snow." I walk over to Y/n. I look down at the small girl with my arms crossed; "I don't want you going out without my permission. And I'm not comfortable with you leaving on your own." I deadpanned.

"Wha- why? I'm fine by myself, Ariana-" "-no Y/n, you're not fine by yourself. People are out to get you, Y/n. They are going to kill you." Y/n visibly gulped and looked at me with fear in her eyes; "p-people are out to...kill me?" I nod my head.

She looked to the ground then looked back up to me, "I-I'm sorry...I didn't know people were out to kill me. In fact; I didn't know anyone was out to get me in the first place! I thought everyone was gone."

"What do you mean by that?" I ask confused.

"You know exactly what I mean, Ariana. You killed everyone! Let me have some freedom!! Please!" Y/n begged. I looked away from her pleading state and sigh. I was in a deep thought. Should I let her be a little...free? Or should I not?

"Ugh, fine. Be 'free', I guess. But when you get hurt; don't come to me for help." I say and turn around with my arms crossed and my nose up. I opened one of my eyes to peak at Y/n. She was already gone...

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗢𝗩

It was now around 3 am and Ariana couldn't sleep, whatsoever. Ariana was bored and needed something to do.

Y/n's diary wasn't needed anymore. She already did what she had to do...why would she need her diary?

Ariana's mind went to so many different places. She honestly didn't know what to do at this time of night. It was still dark out and she knew that everyone was sleeping. Maybe...

Ariana got out of the bed and put on her shoes. She grabbed her coat and then walked outside of the cabin and onto the front porch. The air was colder at night, but the sound of nature surprisingly calmed her down; however, the sound of nature did not make her sleepy.

She went back inside and walked to the desk that was in the corner of the living room by a window. She got out her old notebook that she used in Ms. Williams class and smiled at all the doodles and journal entries she had until one caught her eye. It looked like lyrics, sort of.

Ariana looked over the poem, or lyrics—or whatever they were—and smiled. "This is beautiful. I'm proud of myself for coming up with this." Ariana whispered to herself. "Maybe I can get Y/n to play a tune on the piano if we get one..." Ariana whispered to herself and sat down at the desk. She decided to create more; it was the only thing keeping her quiet and slightly tired.
