"Ariana; it's about time you propose." My mother says as she walks into my room. "Wait—what?! I can't propose mom...it's been like—a month?!" I say with widened eyes.

"Actually Ariana, it's been four months since we announced that you two are getting married. You have to propose sweetheart." I bite my lip and look at myself in the mirror. "But I don't have a ring..." I say with a frown, "I can't propose without a ring."

"That's why we're going ring shopping tomorrow; to get you a decent looking 13k ring." My eyes practically bulge out my head. "Oh, don't act too surprised. You heard Céleste; you have to get her a ring over 12k." My mom says, roaming around my room whilst picking up any clothing that is on the floor.

"We don't have that type of money." I say, looking at my mom who was now sat on my bed after she put the dirty clothes in the hamper. "Actually—we do. Hard work pays off, Ariana." My mom then walked out of my room and left me with my thoughts consuming me.

I didn't know if Y/n likes small or big rings. I didn't know if she likes big diamonds or small diamonds—and I most definitely don't know if she would choose silver over gold or gold over silver.

"Thank you so much for coming with me, Liz." I say hugging her for the 10th time that day. We were out getting the ring. We were planning to get a ring from Tiffany's. "Yeah," she smiles "you know I'm the best ring catcher. How much is the ring suppose to be again?"

"It has to be over 12k." I say looking at Elizabeth for some kind of reaction—but to my surprise, she shrugged it off as if it was nothing. "Easy." Was all she said before walking ahead of me. I arch my eyebrows in slight confusion. Trying to find a perfect ring for a perfect girl is not easy, whatsoever.

It felt like a year before we got the ring. It was small, with diamonds all around the ring—then in the middle was a square diamond, also known as the princess diamond; because Y/n is my princess. And I want my princess to have to best things.

"It's so adorable. Have you found out what you are going to wear?" Elizabeth asked. I never thought of that, for all I know; Y/n could be wearing a beautiful dress that's floral and the length stops above the knee—and I would be wearing my usual oversized sweatshirt with jeans and knee high heels.

"Liz, can you please help me find something to wear?" I practically whine while tugging on Liz's arm. She smiles and drags me into a tuxedo shop.

"Y/n is the only flower in my garden. She is special than the others; which is why I keep her away in a glass, hoping no one would touch her—if they did; then they would get pricked by a thorn; a thorn that can me you die.

She's like a bird; a bird that doesn't sing or tweet—but a bird who only sings with her looks.

Shes a ball of sunshine when she talks to you. She has a way of words. Her words could take you on a journey— a journey through, I don't know. What's the prettiest place on Earth?"

"I don't know Ariana. But I'm not your therapist. I'm your friend." Courtney said, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "I know, Court—but I need  someone to tell me if what I'm going to say is good for the proposal or not. I don't want something similar to what everyone says."

"Ariana, why don't you write it on a piece of paper, show your mom and dad and see if it makes them cry. But I need to go home. I'm tired." I nod and go to my desk as Courtney leaves the room with a slight yawn.

'Y/n Y/m/n Pelletier. You are perfect, and even though our wedding is for business purposes only-' "No."

'Y/n Y/m/n Pelletier, you will always be that one important person in my life. Your eyes are as bright as stars-' "too normal."

"Whatcha doing?" I heard a familiar voice say behind me. I turn around to be met with my girlfriend, Y/n. "Writing something." I mumble. "Maybe I can help? You look frustrated."

I smile, suddenly getting an idea. "Yes. Yes, you can help."
