It was a breezy and cold evening, especially in the pantry. For the past few minutes, there was nothing but pure silence. Out of no where, a hand reached inside the pantry and was moving. Bread tried her best to keep her silent and not to move. That's when, the hand finally touched the plastic that was surrounding her. Slowly and quietly, the hand picked the bread up and put her aside on the counter. Danny observed the bread and made his way to the fridge, where he took out the butter. Meanwhile, Bread looked at Danny in shock.
Was he gonna toast her? Or make her into a sandwich? All these thoughts fell through her little bread mind of hers. She was slow at thinking, and by the time she finished Danny was making his way back. He took out a long, sharp knife and placed it right beside Bread. "Oh my sweet breadness, not only he'll eat me, but cut me into pieces?! Now that is what torture will feel like," Bread thought. Danny picked up the knife again, and took the plastic off that was surrounding Bread.
Once he finished, he was right about to cut Bread, as he placed the sharp end of the knife on her. Suddenly, the doorbell was rang. Danny quickly put the knife down and made his way to the door. He opened the door and inside came a tall, blonde woman, dressed mostly all in white. The woman had a lot of jewelery, all that Bread could see was gold. Gold necklace, gold bracelet, gold purse and what is that? Bread noticed the woman slipping a small diamond ring in her golden purse, in shock Bread just sat there and watched.
The woman gave Danny a quick hug and looked around the house, admiring the art and plants. Danny leaded her to the kitchen, and she gave him an unwelcoming smile, it didn't seem like he minded at all. "Thank you so much for visiting, Rita. I really appreciate it," Danny told her. "Rita? Who the heck names their child Rita," Bread thought. Rita answered back, "My pleasure, Danny." Danny chuckled and looked inside the oven, a welcoming and sweet smell filled the air. "Cake?" Rita asked. Danny nodded and took the cake out, it was a two layer vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate chips in it. It looked like it took forever to make, and you could tell that Danny was proud of it, as he was staring at Rita and smiling at her.
Rita frowned and suddenly said, "Danny, I'm so sorry but the thing is, I'm on a diet." Danny's smile shrinked a couple of inches and he just nodded, putting the cake back into the oven. "Excuse you, 'Rita'. I would eat it all up." Bread screamed out loud, but only in her mind. There was an awkward silence between the two, excluding Bread. Suddenly, Rita looked around the kitchen and noticed Bread, "Dan, mind making me a sandwich?" she spoke. Bread sat in fear, first of all dying to a spoilt, rude woman? And her love of her life which he doesn't know yet will be the one to Kill Bread? This was all wrong, Bread thought. Danny looked at Bread, but all he saw was a loaf of bread, no feelings, no nothing but a piece of food. "Of course Rita." he answered.
