Chapter 3

*Seo-yeon's POV*
I decided to change into a more comfortable outfit before heading to the hospital. Apparently Detective Choi got stabbed in the mens toilet by the person that's targeting Mr.Arrogant, so they took him to the hospital. Yikes.

I headed to my car and made my way to the hospital that Mr.Arrogant texted me.

*after arriving at the hospital*
I headed inside and tried to find Mr. Arrogant or Bong. After running around the hospital for 10 minutes, I finally found them standing in the visitors area. I approached them as I heard Mr. Arrogant say "It's too dangerous. You could have been stabbed".
"Well, someone did get stabbed at the end no?" I asked as I stood next to them. They both looked at me and I hugged Bong, while checking for injuries on her. After letting her go, I looked at Mr. Arrogant and smacked him on his arm.
"You're lucky only one person got hurt, it could have been way more. You need to pay attention to your surroundings" I scolded him, but I don't think he was listening. I huffed. Stoopid. I asked Bong to get all of us coffee, as I handed her some cash. After she left, I looked back at Mr. Arrogant and made him sit down on the free seats. I sat next to him and waited in silence for at least 5 minutes, before I decided to break it.
"Do you have any idea whom it could be?" I asked, without looking at him.
"I have a long list" he replied curtly. I looked at him and squinted my eyes.
"...It could be my half-brothers, my competitors, and players from the game who I fought in reality. I don't have a clue, there are too many suspects. I only trust my second eldest brother among my family members." he added more detail. I just sat there, listening to him.
"I have another mother aside from my birth mother. There was another one before. My family is a complete mess. I have 3 half-brothers. I left my family because I didn't want to run the company. I managed to put Ainsoft on the map. However, my father was impressed with me, he was certain that he should leave the company to me and from then on, I became enemies with my family" he ended.
"Whoever it might be, I will make sure I catch him" I told him, while looking at him. He turned his head and we made eye-contact. The moment got ruined by Bong coming with the coffees and the doctor telling us about Detective Choi. I started drinking my coffee as we listened to the doctor.
"Luckily, the wound wasn't deep. I'll stitch it up and disinfect it" the doctor told us. We all said thank you and bowed. We all left and headed towards the parking lot. Mr.Arrogant told me to follow him in my car while he will call me from his car, so that I can hear the conversation that will be happening. I agreed hesitantly and got in my car. I accepted the call and started driving behind Mr. Arrogant. Everything was silent until he decided to speak.
"BongSoon, Seo-yeon" he spoke. I hummed to notify him that I was listening.
"...stay at my house tonight"
"...WHAT?" I exclaimed swerving my car slightly from the shock. Cars started beeping behind me, but I ignored them.
"I will protect you and you guys will protect me. How does it sound?" he asked.
Both me and Bong said nothing.
"You must have your hopes up since I asked you guys to stay at my place. Don't even think about it. Whatever you're thinking, it won't happen" he muttered.
"Hey, stop blowing up your head like a balloon. No one had any hopes at all, you clown" I muttered the last part, but I think he heard me.
"Don't 'hey' me, I'm your boss and I'm inviting you to my house wahhhh, the disrespect.." he muttered and I stuck my tongue out, which he obviously didn't see.
"What do you mean by hopes?" sighed BongSoon.
"Hope you have when a girl and a guy stay in the same place" Mr.Arrogant said arrogantly. See. This is why I call him Mr. Arrogant.
"Sir, why would I sleep at your place? I decline your offer." I heard Bong tell him.
"You just have no clue" said Mr. Arrogant.
"What clue?" asked Bong.
"Don't you want to flirt with me?" asked Mr.Arrogant.
"Ummm, should I hang up? I feel like I'm interrupting..." I muttered.
"Staying at my place is an immense opportunity" said Mr.Arrogant.
"You know what, Imma hang up and head home. See ya" I told them while hanging up. I made a U turn and headed home. Ugh, wasted this outfit for nothing. After heading inside, I decided to do some work, since it's been a while. I put my glasses on and took my jacket off. I went on my IMac, read my itinerary and called some clients and workers.

*3 hours later*
After making the calls and finishing designing, I decided to take a break and eat some dinner, when someone knocked on the door. I sat on my couch and considered not opening the door, until I heard my phone ring and it wasn't on silent. I groaned knowing that whoever is knocking heard it too. I answered the phone without looking at the who it was.
"You have 10 seconds before I hang up and decide to block your number" I said while laying in the couch.
"Yah, come open the door. I know you're in there, I heard your phone ring" said Mr. Arrogant. I groaned but went to open the door anyways.
"What?" I told him while glaring at him. He just stood there looking at me- well, looking down, until I realised.
"STOP LOOKING YOU RASCAL" I shouted at him while I ran to grab the jacket I had on earlier. I turned around to him and crossed my arms.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"I invited you over, was on the phone with you and BongSoon and next thing I know you hanged up and weren't behind me anymore" he said while making big gestures.
"Well, if you were listening to me, you would have heard me saying that I was hanging up and going home" I told him while huffing. He rolled his eyes. Rude.
"Ughh...anyways I came to pick you up, let's go" he said while heading to the door. What? No.
"I'm not going anywhere with you" I told him. He turned around and looked at me dead in the eyes.
"Go and prepare an overnight bag and let's go" he said. I ignored him and looked away from him. I then heard footsteps hearing my way, and felt myself being pushed against the wall by Mr. Arrogant with his arms over my head.
"I said, go and get a bag ready to stay overnight now." he said while staring dead in my eyes. This should not be this attractive...I hesitantly nodded and he got off me. I actually cannot believe I agreed ugh. I went and got a bag with my pjs, toothbrush, sponge, towel and slippers, as well as an outfit for tomorrow- maybe I should grab more than 1, who knows. I finally finished and went downstairs to meet Mr. Arrogant.
"You done?" he asked as I came down the stairs. I didn't reply and headed for the door. I heard him faintly say "I'll take that as a yes". I locked the door and we both headed towards his car.
*after arriving to his place*
He opened the door and we stepped in, when I saw BongSoon was already here. I smiled at her when Mr. Arrogant asked us if we're hungry. Bong and I both replied with a sure and Mr. Arrogant ended up making ramen.
I decided to take off my jacket, since it was quite warm inside and sat next to Bong.
"That's hot. Let's eat" said Mr. Arrogant. He took his bowl and put ramen in it. Both me and Bong put ramen in our bowls but ate slower than Mr. Arrogant, who burned his tongue. Haha karma.
"Isn't the walnut pie good?" asked Bong, when she noticed the boxes on the table.
"Totally. Let's all go again next time" he said.
"I'm all right" said Bong suspiciously. Hmm.
"Hey, you introduced me to the place" exclaimed Mr. Arrogant. Bong stopped eating.
"That is because it's our store" she said. I knew something was fishy.
"That man yesterday is my father" she muttered. Mr. Arrogant dropped his chopsticks in his bowl while staring at Bong.
"She got you to invest in her parents business that quick oh my" I chuckled, while eating my ramen. I then drowned out the rest of the conversation and continued eating until I heard the bell ring. Mr. Arrogant stood up and muttered something, he opened the door on the controller and In Guk-doo walked in. Ouff I can smell the tension from a mile away. Bong and I walked towards them and stood there. Bong passed by me and went to stand next to Guk-doo. She muttered his name softly and I visibly cringed.
"Whose house is this?" asked Guk-doo. His voice is so deep damn.... Anyways.
"Do Bong-soon and Park Seo-yeon will be staying with me today. I'll let them stay here, so don't worry" said Mr. Arrogant, while cutting Bong off. Guk-doo's eyes drifted towards me and we made eye-contact. My cheeks reddened and I looked away.
"Yah, why are you wearing that? You shouldn't wear this in front of a man" he said while staring at me. He took his coat off and walked towards me to put it on me. In the process of Guk-doo walking to me, Bong was kind of pushed to the side, where she proceeded to stare at us. He put his coat on me and zipped it up and walked back to where he was standing.
"What is this place? Who is he?" said Guk-doo while looking at BongSoon.
"Well.." muttered Bong.
"Let's go, both of you. How can two grown up women spend the night with a single man? Are you crazy?" exclaimed Guk-doo while looking at us. I flinched and looked away.
"Come with me" said Guk-doo while grabbing both mine and Bong's hand, while all of a sudden, I felt my other arm being held.
"Leave them here" muttered Mr.Arrogant while holding us. Guk-doo turned back and got close to Mr. Arrogant.
"Who are you?" asked Guk-doo pissed off.
"I need them tonight" said Mr. Arrogant. Damn, two guys fighting over me? Elena Gilbert who?
"I'm taking them" said Guk-doo.
"I said no already" muttered Mr. Arrogant.
"I must take her" said Guk-doo.
"That won't do" said Mr. Arrogant while stepping forward. If you were to see me and BongSoon, you would see our heads moving left and right very violently.
"I'll take them" said Guk-doo while also stepping froward.
"No" said Mr. Arrogant, without changing facial expression. Ok wow.
