Take a screenshot of a cover of a fan-fiction book (must be an obvious fan-fiction).
With so many fan-fiction books on this app, I was feeling a tad overwhelmed.
And don't even get me started on the ones full of... erm... inappropriate themes or all those "insert name of famous person" x reader stories. Dear Lord! I loathe those fan-fics.
Finding a good, wholesome fan-fiction story was a struggle and a half.
Until I remembered the one in the screenshot.
The Beauty of Pompeii's Sister, by Scienceocelot, which was a Fan-Fiction Category Winner of my Blind Raven Awards.
It follows the story of Chelsey Gordon, an archeology student, who is visiting Pompeii for the first time; along with her professor and classmates.
While there, they make a life-changing discovery.
After touching the statues of two people encased in ash, Chelsey and her classmate Julia, are taken back in time to 79 A.D. (just before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius).
They must discover why they are in the past, and find hidden truths, all while trying to survive the coming disaster that destroyed Pompeii.
Now, if that doesn't sound exciting, I don't know what does!
This fan-fiction follows some of the storyline of the 2014 film Pompeii that stars Kit Harrington and Emily Browning.
If you haven't seen that movie, I highly reccomend it, too.
