My phone vibrating on my dresser was what woke me up. I came in home late last night from the clinic, Mischa was having a hard time adjusting and Tennessee kept whimpering all day til I closed the kennel and clinic. Me and Kas got Mischa and Tennessee earlier this week and we was still trying to ease their anxieties.
"Yeah....." I was normally a morning person, but as tired as I was.......right now, I wasn't one.
"It's ten and you or Kas aren't here. I have a new one for y'all." The deep voice came on the line.
"What.....?" I looked at my phone.
"Oh shit!" I jumped out of my bed, damn near bout to bust my ass. Opening my door, I stuck my head out.
"Kas! Get ya ass up!!!"
"The hell wrong with you, yelling in the house so damn early!?" Dad yelled up the stairs.
"Daddy, why you ain't wake us up?" I heard my sister cuss in her room, most likely falling out of bed.
"Y'all two came home late last night. You need your sleep." I ran back in my room and picked up my phone.
"Tee....? Tee!"
"Hello? We on our way Darius.......shit we overslept!" I dropped my phone on my bed and ran around my room, looking for something to wear. I had an appointment in less than 30 minutes and another new dog?
I ran to my bathroom, I took a shower when I came in last night, but it didn't hurt to do a quick wipe down. After I was done doing my necessities, I pulled on my tights and tee.
No time to look extra cute today.
"C'mon Kas! Darius got another dog!" My sister ran out her room, curly hair flying around, while she tried to put it in a ponytail.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

"Coffee!" I switched direction. Me and my sister may have been early birds, but we needed caffeine to deal with so many different personalities with the animals we took care of.
"Already made." Dad stretched his hands out with our to go coffee cups.
"Thanks Daddy. You're the best!" Kas gave him a kiss on the cheek and I followed with one.
